Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of coaching discipline and motivation toward learning achievement cadets Merchant marine Education and Training Institute (BP2IP) Tangerang. Respondents are cadets Merchant marine Education and Training Institute (BP2IP) Tangerang Youth fifty nine. The method used is distributing questionnaires to cadets by using Likert scale. Analysis of data using multiple regression models with SPSS. Partial regression analysis found that the variable coaching discipline significantly influence the motivation to learn, and each of the variables showed significant influence on the learning achievement of the Youth cadets Merchant marine Education and Training Institute ( BP2IP ) Tangerang. These results indicate that there is a simultaneous effect between variables influence the development of discipline and motivation toward learning achievement cadets Merchant marine Education and Training Institute ( BP2IP ) Tangerang. Key word : discipline, Motivation and learning achievement Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembinaan disiplin dan motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar taruna Balai Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Ilmu Pelayaran (BP2IP) Tangerang. Responden penelitian adalah taruna BP2IP Tangerang sebanyak lima puluh sembilan orang. Metode yang digunakan adalah menyebarkan kuisioner kepada taruna dengan menggunakan skala likert. Analisis data menggunakan model regresi linier berganda dengan program SPSS. Hasil uji regresi secara parsial diketahui bahwa variabel pembinaan disiplin berpengaruh Negatif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar dan variabel motivasi belajar menunjukkan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar para taruna Balai Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Ilmu Pelayaran (BP2IP) Tangerang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang simultan antara pengaruh variabel pembinaan disiplin dan motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar Balai Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Ilmu Pelayaran (BP2IP) Tangerang. Kata Kunci : Disiplin, Motivasi dan Prestasi Belajar
