Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan di industri manufaktur yang berfokus dalam produksi produk otomotif salah satunya adalah gear spindle. Pada tahun 2018 target produksi bulanan untuk gear spindle sering tidak tercapai sehingga sehingga menjadi sebuah kendala perusahaan karena adanya pemborosan aktifitas. Untuk itu, untuk meminimalkan pemborosan atau aktifitas yang tidam memberikan nilai tambah pada perusahaan perlu dilakukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan value stream mapping (VSM) untuk mengetahui aliran material dan aliran informasi mengenai proses produksi gear spindle, dilanjutkan dengan mencari waste kritis menggunakan waste assessment model (WAM) dan value stream mapping analysis tools (VALSAT). Mencari rootcause waste kritis menggunakan diagram fishbone dan dilanjutkan dengan memberikan usulan perbaikan sesuai dengan rootcause yang diketahui. Berdasarkan penerapan usulan perbikan tersebut, diperoleh penurunan waktu proses produksi sebesar 2930 menit atau 4,86%. In 2018 the monthly production target for gear spindle is often not achieved so that it becomes an obstacle for the company due to wasteful activities. This study uses value stream mapping (VSM) to determine the material flow and information flow regarding the spindle gear production process, followed by searching for critical waste using the waste assessment model (WAM) and value stream mapping analysis tools (VALSAT). Look for critical waste rootcause using a fishbone diagram and proceed with giving suggestions for improvement according to known rootcause. Based on the implementation of the proposed changes, a reduction in production process time was obtained by 2930 minutes or 4.86%.
