Abstract

ABSTRAK Jumlah penduduk kota terutama daerah Jabodetabek yang semakin bertambah dan dengan tingkat mobilitas yang tinggi merupakan salah satu penyebab terjadinya kemacetan di berbagai ruas jalan saat ini. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengurangi tingkat kemacetan yang terjadi antara lain dengan menerapkan CTS (conditional traffic light sytem) yaitu sistem kendali lampu lalu lintas yang fleksibel sesuai kondisi kepadatan jalan dan kebutuhan diajalan., sehingga diperlukan suatu sistem yang dapat mengendalikan durasi nyala lampu lalu lintas yang dapat disesuaikan dengan jumlah kepadatan kendaraan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif yaitu dengan melakukan riset tentang masalah yang akan dibahas lalu dilanjutkan dengan studi literatur dan dilanjutkan dengan perangcangan, pembuatan dan pengujian Hasil dari alat/prototype yang dibuat berjalan dengan baik, yaitu alat ini bias merubah fungsi dan tingkat efisiensi dalam pengaturan lampu lalu lintas. Juga memudahan user khususnya polantas dalam mengatur fungsi lampu lalu lintas sesuai dengan kondisi jalan yang berubah-ubah setiap saat Lamanya nyala waktu sesuai dengan apa yang kita rencanakan, missal kita setting 3 detik maka lampu juga akan menyala selama 3 detik. Mode operasi yang juga berjalan sesuai dengan apa yang kita pilih, misal kita pilih mode blinking maka yang akan beroperasi mode blinking pula Kata kunci : traffic light, PLC, Conditional ABSTRACT The increasing number of city dwellers, especially in Jabodetabek area and with a high level of mobility is one of the cause of traffic congestion in various road sections today. One of the efforts made to reduce the level of congestion that occurs is the application of CTS (conditional traffic light system), which is a traffic light control system that is flexible according to road density conditions and needs on the road. The current traffic light settings applied are by applying the duration of red, yellow, and green lights. So we need a system that can control the duration of the traffic lights that can be adjusted to the amount of vehicle density that occurs. The method used in this research is descriptive method by conducting research on the issues to be discussed then continued with the study of literature and continued with the design, manufacture and testing. The result of the tool/ prototype are made to run well, namely this tool is a function and level of efficiency in traffic light settings. Also makes it easy for users, especially traffic police in regulating the function of traffic lights in accordance with road conditions that change at any time. The duration of the flame in accordance with what we planned, for example we set 3 seconds then the light will also be on for 3 seconds.
