Abstract

This research aims to knowing the effect of alexithymia to body dysmorphic disorder in psychology students at Mercu Buana University. This type of this research is quantitative by using regression analysis. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires and using simple random sampling techniques to 248 people as samples. The results of this study are alexithymia affecting body dysmorphic disorder with a significant level of 20% and positively correlated. There is an effect of alexithymia to body dysmorphic disorder in psychology faculty students at Mercu Buana University. Key Words : Alexithymia, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Young Adult Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh alexithymia terhadap body dysmorphic disorder pada mahasiswa fakultas psikologi di Universitas Mercu Buana. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis regresi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan penyebaran kuesioner dan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling kepada 248 orang sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian ini adalah alexithymia mempengaruhi body dysmorphic disorder dengan tingkat signifikan 20% dan berkorelasi positif. Ada pengaruh alexithymia terhadap body dysmorphic disorder pada mahasiswa fakultas psikologi di Universitas Mercu Buana. Kata Kunci : Alexithymia, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Dewasa Awal
