Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of smartphone use on learning motivation in university psychology faculty students X. The research method used is a quantitative method with the type of correlational research. The sample in this study amounted to 262 respondents taken using the purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used is the Rank-Spearman statistical analysis method with the help of the SPSS 22 application. The Rank-Spearman test results obtained sig. amounted to 0.001. Sig value (0.001) <0.05, then H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the intensity of the use of smartphones with motivation to study at students of the Faculty of Psychology, University X Jakarta. Keywords: Intensity, Learning Motivation Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan smartphone terhadap motivasi belajar pada mahasiswa fakultas psikologi universitas X. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 262 responden yang diambil menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah metode analisis statistic Rankspearman dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS 22. Hasil uji Rank-spearman didapatkan nilai sig. sebesar 0,001. Nilai sig. (0,001) < 0,05 maka H1 diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara intensitas penggunaan smartphone dengan motivasi belajar pada mahasiswa fakultas Psikologi universitas X Jakarta.
