Abstract

The purpose of this study the Phubbing Relationship in a person due to the behavior of ignoring interactions with others or preferring to focus on their cellphones. This purpose to determine the relationship between Phubbing with Interpersonal Communication in students of SMAN X Kota Tangerang. This research uses a quantitative method approach with the sampling technique used is proportionate stratified random sampling technique with N = 234 respondents, while the criteria used are adolescents with an age range of 11-18 years, data taken using GSP (Generalized Scale of Phubbing) with 15 statement items and Interpersonal Communication scale with 37 statements. Hypothesis analysis used is Spearman's Rho with a result of 0.057> 0.05 which means that there is no relationship between phubbing with interpersonal communication of students of SMAN X Kota Tangerang. Keywords : Phubbing, Interpersonal Communication, Teenager Penelitian ini meneliti mengenai Hubungan seseorang yang mengalami pengabaian (Phubbing) akibat dari perilaku seseorang yang memainkain telepon genggam dalam berkomunikasi dan mengabaikan interaksi dengan orang lain atau lebih memilih fokus terhadap telepon genggam mereka, tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengethaui hubungan antara Phubbing dengan Komunikasi Interpersonal pada Remaja SMAN X Kota Tangerang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, teknik pengambilan sampel yang dilakukan adalah teknik proportionate stratified random sampling dengan N = 234 responden, sementara kriteria yang dipakai yaitu remaja dengan rentang usia 11-18 tahun, data diambil dengan menggunakan GSP (Generalized Scale of Phubbing) dengan 15 item pernyataan dan skala Komunikasi Interpersonal dengan 37 pernyataan, analisa hipotesis yang dipakai adalah Spearman’s Rho dengan hasil 0,057 > 0,05, menghasilkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara phubbing dengan komunikasi interpersonal Remaja SMAN X Kota Tangerang.
