Abstract

One of the requirements for students who want to complete college education is to do the final project. Writing the final assignment is considered as a new problem, not even a few students often experience many obstacles such as feeling anxious. Anxiety felt by students increasingly increases the task commitment that is owned to immediately complete the final task. This study aims to look at the relationship between task commitment and anxiety to compose a final assignment for students of psychology regular-2 Mercu Buana University. Each scale has a reliability value at an anxiety scale state of 0.843 and a task commitment scale for the final assignment is 0.948. The results of the analysis of the relationship between task commitment and anxiety in preparing a final assignment for regular-2 psychology students at university lighthouses showed r count of +0,371, p = 0,003 (p <0,05). The population in this study amounted to 240 people with a sample of 63 people using purposive sampling technique with the characteristics of students who have state anxiety with a range of moderate to high and trait anxiety with a range of mild to moderate. So that the results of the study show that the hypothesis is accepted and there is a significant relationship between task commitment and anxiety in preparing a final assignment for regular psychology regular-2 in Mercu Buana Universiys. Salah satu persyaratan untuk mahasiswa yang ingin menyelesaikan pendidikan di perguruan tinggi adalah dengan melakukan penulisan tugas akhir. Penulisan tugas akhir dianggap sebagai suatu masalah baru, bahkan tidak sedikit mahasiswa sering mengalami banyak kendala seperti merasa cemas. Kecemasan yang dirasakan oleh mahasiswa semakin meningkatkan task commitment yang dimiliki untuk segera menyelesaikan tugas akhirnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara task commitment dengan kecemasan menyusun tugas akhir pada mahasiswa psikologi reguler-2 univeristas mercu buana. Masingmasing skala memiliki nilai reliabilitas pada state anxiety scale sebesar 0,843 dan serta skala task commitment penyusunan tugas akhir sebesar 0,948. Hasil analisis hubungan antara task commitment dengan kecemasan menyusun tugas akhir pada mahasiswa psikologi reguler-2 di universitas mercu buana menunjukkan r hitung sebesar +0,371 , p = 0,003 (p<0,05). Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 240 orang dengan sampel sebanyak 63 orang menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan karakteristik mahasiswa yang memiliki state anxiety dengan rentang sedang sampai tinggi dan trait anxiety dengan rentang ringan sampai sedang . Sehingga dari hasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis diterima dan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara task commitment dengan kecemasan menyusun tugas akhir pada mahasiswa psikologi reguler-2 universitas mercu buana.
