Abstract

This research is conducted to analyze and reveal the influence of Principal Leadership and work motivation on the Performance of teachers in SMK Budi Mulia Tangerang. Principal's leadership role in the process of moving, influencing and guiding others in order to achieve organizational goals is the role to be performed as well as the leadership of the principal motivation influences from within and outside motivation. Research methodology used was a survey method is descriptive analytic. Techniques used in the determination of the sample is saturated sampling (census) in which all members of the population sampled. The results of the study showed the influence of the principal's leadership and work motivation on the performance of teachers in vocational high school Budi Mulia Tangerang. The influence of principal leadership effects on teacher performance, especially on intellectual development dimension to the dimensions of work ability and initiative, inspiring dimensions to the dimensions of the initiative, the influence of ideal dimensions to the dimensions of work ability and discipline, each has a strong-enough relationship while on work motivation has a strong relationship, particularly on the dimensions of the inside of the dimensions of initiative.. Keywords: principal leadership, work motivation, teacher performance. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengungkap pengaruh Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dan Motivasi Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Guru di SMK Budi Mulia Tangerang. Peranan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam proses menggerakkan, mempengaruhi dan membimbing orang lain dalam rangka untuk mencapai tujuan organisasi adalah peranan yang harus dijalankan selaku kepala sekolah disamping adanya pengaruh motivasi dari dalam maupun motivasi dari luar. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey yang bersifat deskriptif analitis . Teknik yang digunakan dalam penentuan sampel adalah sampling jenuh (sensus) dimana semua anggota populasi dijadikan sampel. Hasil penelitian membuktikan adanya pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru di SMK Budi Mulia Tangerang. Besarnya pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru terutama pada dimensi pengembangan intelektual terhadap dimensi kemampuan kerja dan inisiatif, dimensi inspirasi terhadap dimensi inisiatif, dimensi pengaruh ideal terhadap dimensi kemampuan kerja dan disiplin, masing-masing mempunyai hubungan yang cukup kuat sedangkan pada motivasi kerja mempunyai hubungan yang kuat terutama pada dimensi motivasi dari dalam terhadap inisiatif.
