Abstract

Character education is a very important requirement for students in Indonesia, one of which is scouting education. Scouts are a vehicle for developing the right brain emotionally, where students are trained to interact, communicate, be creative, and be affiliated with other friends. This is where students' social abilities are built, so that they are able to realize one of the pillars of Unesco's education (a UN institution that handles education and culture), namely to equip students to get life together, to live together in peace and harmony. However, the old known Scout Teaching can be overcome through more modern, more interesting, and not always patronizing teaching patterns, but without leaving the Scouts' terms and conditions in teaching. This design was then made to invite children of the age of raising to find out the exemplary norms of scouting in everyday life, through media illustrated books. The execution of this book is in the form of illustrations that are done with digital processes assisted by computer devices. The design of this book is expected to be a reminder of the importance of the Scout movement and can be a solution for teaching using media illustration books in Scout activities in schools Keywords: Practicing, Dasa Dharma, Scouting raisers Pendidikan karakter merupakan kebutuhan yang sangat penting bagi peserta didik di indonesia, salah satunya adalah pendidikan kepramukaan. Pramuka merupakan wahana pengembangan emosional otak kanan, di mana siswa dilatih untuk berinteraksi, berkomunikasi, kreatif, dan berafiliasi dengan teman-teman lainnya. Di sinilah kemampuan sosial siswa dibangun, sehingga mampu mewujudkan salah satu pilar pendidikan versi Unesco (lembaga PBB yang menangani pendidikan dan kebudayaan), yakni membekali siswa untuk dapat life together, hidup bersama dengan damai dan harmonis. Namun Pengajaran Pramuka yang dikenal kuno dapat diatasi melalui pola pengajaran yang lebih modern, lebih menarik, dan tidak selalu menggurui, akan tetapi tanpa meninggalkan syarat dan pakem- pakem Pramuka dalam pengajaranya. Perancangan ini kemudian dibuat untuk mengajak kepada anak-anak usia penggalang untuk mengetahui norma-norma teladan kepramukaan di kehidupan sehari-hari, lewat media buku ilustrasi. Eksekusi buku ini berupa Ilustrasi yang dikerjakan dengan proses digital dibantu dengan perangkat komputer. Perancangan buku ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pengingat kembali akan pentingnya gerakan Pramuka serta dapat menjadi solusi untuk pengajaran menggunakan media buku ilustrasi dalam kegiatan Pramuka di sekolah.
