Abstract

Flexible Packaging merupakan kemasan yang tidak keras dan tidak kaku melainkan mudah dilipat dan dibentuk sesuai dengan keinginan (Steward mosberg : 1989). PT. X merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak dalam industri Flexible Packaging. Perusahaan yang berlokasi di Purwakarta merupakan perusahaan yang telah berkompeten di bidangnya. Perusahaan yang berdiri sejak tahun 1983 ini telah memiliki tiga pabrik yang berada di daerah Jakarta, Tangerang dan Purwakarta dengan orientasi pasar dalam dan luar negeri. Perusahaan yang berfokus pada packaging makanan dengan jenis produk yang di produksi adalah packaging untuk Shampoo, Noodle, Oil Pack, Sauce Pack dan Snack. Untuk meningkatkan daya saing perusahaan, PT. X perlu meningkatkan kinerjanya. Khususnya kinerja operasi, salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kinerja yaitu dengan menyusun strategi operasi yang tepat guna mendukung tercapainya kinerja perusahaan yang optimal sehingga dapat memenangkan persaingan di industri flexible packaging ini. Strategi yang digunakan menggunakan pendekatan Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) untuk melakukan improvement, karena permasalahan yang berada di PT. X memiliki keterkaitan dengan teori TPM yaitu quality, performance dan availability atau Overrall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Dengan perumusan masalah apakah implementasi TPM dapat meningkatkan kinerja dari perusahaan? Pemecahan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan peta kendali, perhitungan (availability rate, performance rate dan quality rate). Berdasarkan pengolahan data dapat diketahui standar yang ada berdasarkan data dari Juli 2008 sampai dengan Mei 2010, maka dilakukan pengukuran pada proses printing dengan membuat peta kendali, sehingga dapat diketahui persentase availability rate 62.79%, performance rate 64.04%, dan quality rate 98.80% sehingga nilai OEE pada saat ini sebesar 39,73%. Dari standar yang ada maka dibuat standar baru (usulan). Nilai presentase standar baru availability rate 66.05%, performance rate 67.20%, dan quality rate 98.91% sehingga nilai OEE usulan atau yang dapat dicapai perusahaan 43.91%. Untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja yang menyebabkan nilai OEE rendah dilakukan cause and effect diagram yang dilanjutkan dengan root cause analysis, dan untuk mengetahui tingkat potensial dari cause and effect diagram maka digunakan failure mode and effect analysis. Untuk mencapai standar baru dan terus meningkatkan nilai OEE maka diperlukan pilar TPM yang harus dibangun dalam perusahaan, berdasarkan faktor-faktor penyebab dan kegiatan yang sudah ada diperusahaan, maka pilar TPM yang dipakai adalah continuous improvement, autonomous maintenance, planned maintenance dan training and education. Dalam planned maintenance. Frekuensi yang sering terjadi kerusakan adalah pada mesin printing 2 dengan jenis kerusakan gear box dengan nilai mean time between failure 7315. 38 menit, atau sekitar 5 hari kerja dengan mean time to failure 317.12 menit dan schedule implementasi TPM untuk empat pilar ini selama 45 hari kerja Supaya tujuan perusahaan tercapai maka penulis memberikan saran yaitu seluruh top management dan karyawan bekerjasama dan harus berkomitmen dan yakin untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dan keinginan dalam implementasi TPM Key word : Availability rate, performance rate, quality rate, overall equipment effectiveness, cause and effect diagram, root cause analysis, failure mode and effect analysis, continuous improvement, autonomous maintenance, planned maintenance dan training and education, MTBF, MTTF Flexible Packaging representing tidiness which do not ossify and is not stiff but easy to folded and formed as according to desire (Steward mosberg : 1989). PT. X represent one of the peripatetic company in industry Flexible Packaging. Company which have location in Purwakarta represent company which have in its area. Company standing since 1983 year this have owned three factory residing in area of Jakarta, Tangerang and of Purwakarta with market orientation in and abroad. Company which focusing at food packaging with product type which in production is packaging for the Shampoo, Noodle, Oil Pack, Sauce Pack and of Snack. To increase company competitiveness PT. X, require to improve its performance. Specially operation performance, one of the way of to increase performance that is by compiling correct operation strategy utilize tired supporting of optimal company performance so that can win emulation in industry of flexible this packaging. Used strategy use approach of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to do improvement, because problems residing in PT. X have related to theory of TPM that is quality, and performance of availability or of Overall Equipment Effectivenes (OEE). With formulation of problem do implementation of TPM can improve performance of company?. Trouble Shooting in this research is to use map conduct, calculation (availability rate, performance rate and quality rate). Pursuant to data processing can know existing standard pursuant to data of July 2008 up to May 2010, hence conducted by measurement at process of printing by making a map of to conduct, so that can know percentage of availability rate 62.79%, performance rate 64.04%, and quality rate 98.80% so that assess OEE at the moment equal to 39,73%. From existing standard hence made by new standard ( proposal ). Value of presentase new standard of availability rate 66.05%, performance rate 67.20%, and quality rate 98.91% so that assess tired by OEE which can or proposal of company 43.91%. To know factor any kind of causing value of OEE conducted by low of continued cause and effect diagram with cause root analysis, and to know potential storey level of cause and effect diagram hence used by failure mode and effect analysis. To reach new standard and continue to improve value of OEE hence needed by pillar of TPM which must be woke up in company, pursuant to cause factors and activity which have there is company, hence pillar of TPM weared is continuous improvement, autonomous maintenance, planned maintenance and of training education.In planned maintenance, frequency which often happened damage is at machine of printing 2 with type damage of gear box with value of mean time between failure 7315. 38 minute, or about 5 weekday with mean time to failure 317.12 minute and schedule implementation of TPM for the four of this pillar during 45 weekday so that the target of tired by company hence, writer give suggestion that is all top management and employees work along and have to commit and sure to fulfill desire and requirement in implementation of TPM.
