Abstract

The delivery of advertisements on billboard media is deemed ineffective because manual installation tends to cost a lot of money and often the less strategic placement of billboards causes the advertisement to be neglected. In this study, a mobile billboard technology system was developed that could change advertisements according to a predetermined location. The design and construction of a prototype mobile billboard is divided into four main parts, namely the sensor module, microprocessor, monitor, and applications for remote control. The GPS sensor module functions to read the location coordinates and then sends the reading data to the microprocessor. The microprocessor receives GPS sensor reading data, then the data is stored in a database and processed. The monitor functions as an output that displays advertisements in the form of digital video. The GPS sensor used is the GY-NEO7M and the microprocessor used is the Raspberry Pi 3. In addition, the prototype to be made also uses a 4.3 inch monitor to display ad video output. Based on the test results, the tool can display ads based on predetermined locations. For the test results, adding ads remotely using the VNC Viewer application was successfully carried out and the prototype did not need to be restarted. Kata kunci : Raspberry Pi, Global Positioning System (GPS), Mobile Billboard, GY-NEO7M Penyampaian iklan pada media papan reklame dirasa kurang efektif karena pemasangan yang manual cenderung menghabiskan biaya yang besar dan seringkali penempatan papan reklame yang kurang strategis menyebabkan iklan tersebut terabaikan. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan pengembangan sistem teknologi papan reklame mobile yang dapat berganti iklan sesuai dengan lokasi yang telah ditentukan. Pembuatan rancang bangun prototipe papan reklame mobile dibagi menjadi empat bagian utama yaitu modul sensor, mikroprosesor, monitor, dan aplikasi untuk mengkontrol secara jarak jauh. Modul sensor GPS berfungsi untuk pembacaan koordinat lokasi lalu mengirimkan data pembacaan ke mikroprosesor. Mikroprosesor menerima data pembacaan sensor GPS, lalu data tersebut disimpan pada database dan diproses. Monitor berfungsi sebagai output yang menampilkan iklan yang berupa video digital. Sensor GPS yang digunakan adalah GY-NEO7M dan Mikroprosesor yang digunakan adalah Raspberry Pi 3. Selain itu prototipe yang akan dibuat juga menggunakan monitor 4.3 inch untuk menampilkan output video iklan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, alat dapat menampilkan iklan berdasarkan lokasi yang telah ditentukan. Untuk hasil pengujian penambahan iklan secara jarak jauh menggunakan aplikasi VNC Viewer berhasil dilakukan dan prototipe tidak perlu di restart.
