Abstract
The background of this study refers to the phenomenon of student data report SMK Kampung Jawa breaking work in the last 3 years, namely in 2010, 2011 and 2012 are unprepared to work due to the lack of soft skills that exist on students then added also report data from the recruitment of prospective employees of PT Griya Miesejati (Bakmi GM) taken from students of SMK Kampung Jawa from the period 2012-2014 who managed to become an employee is not so much of this is also related to the lack of soft skills of students. The research objective is to design learning model with orientation capability increase students soft skills. The data collection method used observation, tests and self-assessment. While data analysis using bar charts, check sheets, and line charts. Based on the results of data analysis there are several important findings include that the implementation of practice learning through project-based learning approach based industrial culture Gemba Kaizen model of the first cycle and cycle II and III provide a positive response to the formation of students soft skills evidenced by the increase in soft skills mastery significantly with the result that more dominant on communication skills and report writing skills then successively on professional and problem solving skills, personal quality and teamwork skills. Latar belakang penelitian ini merujuk pada fenomena laporan data siswa putus kerja SMK Kampung Jawa pada 3 tahun terakhir yaitu tahun 2010, 2011 dan 2012 belum siapnya bekerja karena kurangnya kemampuan soft skills yang ada pada diri siswa kemudian ditambahkan pula laporan data dari perekrutan calon karyawan PT Griya Miesejati (Bakmi GM) yang diambil dari siswa SMK Kampung Jawa dari periode 2012-2014 yang berhasil hingga menjadi karyawan tidak begitu banyak ini juga berkaitan dengan kurangnya soft skills siswa. Tujuan penelitian adalah membuat rancangan model pembelajaran dengan orientasi kemampuan peningkatan soft skills siswa. Metode pengumpulan datanya menggunakan observasi, tes, dan self assessment. Sementara analisis data mempergunakan bar chart, check sheet dan line chart. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data ada beberapa temuan yang penting diantaranya bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran praktik melalui project based learning dengan pendekatan industrial culture based gemba kaizen model pada siklus I maupun siklus II dan III memberikan respon positif pada pembentukan soft skills siswa terbukti dengan adanya kenaikan ketuntasan kemampuan soft skills secara signifikan dengan hasil yang lebih dominan pada communication skill dan writing report skill kemudian berturut-turut pada professional and problem solving skill, personal quality dan teamwork skill.
