Abstract

ABSTRAK Pada semester pertama tahun 2018 konsumsi semen dalam negeri meningkat 3,6% dibandingkan dengan periode yang sama pada tahun 2017 dengan total konsumsi semennya adalah 28.994.253 Ton, Hal ini mendorong para pelaku produsen semen secara bersamaan meningkatkan kapasitas produksi pabrik dan para investor baru membangun pabrik di Indonesia. para produsen Semen mulai berinovasi untuk melakukan pengembangan produk semen di sela pasar yang sangat kompetitif. Salah satu cara untuk pengembangan produk semen, banyak produsen semen memilih untuk menggunakan bahan limbah.salah satu bahan limbah yang digunakan yaitu GGBS (Ground Granulated Blastfurnace Slag). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah pnggunaan GGBS (Ground Granulated Blastfurnace Slag) dapat memberikan pengaruh yang positif apabila dijadikan sebagai bahan tambah pada semen Portland. Pengujian dilakukan dengan substitusi semen Portland dan GGBS mengikuti aturan SNI 2049:2015 dan SNI 6385:2016 dengan variasi penambahan 0%, 20%, 40%, 60% dan 80% dari kebutuhan bahan.Pengujian. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penambahaan GGBS memberikan pengaruh terhadap waktu ikat, Berat volume, workability, penyerapan air, dan kuat tekan pada mortar. Name: Sabila Indah Hakiki, Nim: 41117320050, Supervisor: Agung Sumarno, S.T., M.T, 2019 In the first semester of 2018 domestic cement consumption increased by 3.6% compared to the same period in 2017 with total cement consumption of 28,994,253 tons, this prompted cement producers to simultaneously increase factory production capacity and new investors build factory in Indonesia. Cement producers began to innovate to develop cement products in between highly competitive markets. One way to develop cement products, many cement producers choose to use waste materials. One of the waste materials used is GGBS (Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag). This study was conducted to determine whether the use of GGBS (Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag) can have a positive effect if it is used as an added ingredient in Portland cement. Tests were carried out by substituting Portland cement and GGBS following the rules of SNI 2049: 2015 and SNI 6385: 2016 with variations in addition of 0%, 20%, 40%, 60% and 80% of the material requirements. The results of the study show that the increase in GGBS has an effect on the binding time, volume weight, workability, water absorption, and compressive strength on the mortar.
