Abstract

Throughout July 2017 the mass media was enlivened by the arrest of Setya Novanto in the E KTP corruption case by the KPK. The crowds of the mass media that preached this case at that time certainly could shape a certain image of the Golkar party. The mass media has that ability through the framing technique that it does on the published news. Each media has its own news frame - each in writing the news, which will later affect the direction of the news. The media has a broad impact, not infrequently in the reporting of a media can lead public opinion, just as what is instructed by the media. This study uses the Constructivist paradigm with a Qualitative approach. This study aims to examine the news carried out by online media Kompas.com and Republika.co.id in presenting and delivering an event of Setya Novanto reporting involved in the E KTP corruption case and explaining the comparison of reality construction carried out by online media Kompas.com and Republika .co.id. The purpose of this research is to find out the construction of conflict in the Golkar party through framing news on Republika.co.id and Kompas.com. The theory used by Reese. This theory explains the influence of the contents of a media coverage by internal and external influences (Eriyanto, 2001: 76). Shoemaker and Reese share several levels of influence on media content. Namely the influence of individual media workers (individual level), the influence of media routines (media routines level), the influence of media organizations (organizational level), influences from outside the media (outside media level), and the last is the influence of ideology (ideology level) . The data analysis technique in this study uses Robert Etnman's framing analysis which consists of several stages consisting of problem identification, causal interpretation, moral evaluation, and treatment recommendation. Keywords: Framing, Setya Novanto, Social and Media Construction Sepanjang Juli 2017 lalu media massa diramaikan dengan tertangkapnya Setya Novanto dalam kasus korupsi E KTP oleh KPK. Ramainya media massa yang memberitakan kasus ini pada saat itu tentu saja dapat membentuk citra tertentu partai Golkar. Media massa memiliki kemampuan itu melalui teknik framing yang dilakukannya pada berita yang dipublikasikannya tersebut. Setiap media memiliki frame berita masing – masing pada penulisan beritanya, yang nantinya akan berpengaruh terhadap arah pemberitaan. Media memiliki dampak yang luas, tidak jarang dalam pemberitaannya sebuah media dapat menggiring opini publik, sama seperti apa yang dikondtruksikan oleh media. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma Konstruktivis dengan pendekatan Kualitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemberitaan yang dilakukan oleh media online Kompas.com dan Republika.co.id dalam menyajikan dan menyampaikan sebuah peristiwa pemberitaan Setya Novanto yang terlibat kasus korupsi E KTP dan menjelaskan perbandingan konstruksi realitas yang dilakukan oleh media online Kompas.com dan Republika.co.id. Maksud dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Konstruksi konflik partai Golkar melalui framing pemberitaan pada Republika.co.id dan Kompas.com. Teori yang digunakan dari Reese. Teori ini menjelaskan tentang pengaruh terhadap isi dari dari suatu pemberitaan media oleh pengaruh internal dan eksternal (Eriyanto,2001:76). Shoemaker dan Reese membagi kepada beberapa level pengaruh isi media. Yaitu pengaruh dari individu pekerja media (individual level), pengaruh dari rutinitas media (media routines level), pengaruh dari organisasi media ( organizational level), pengaruh dari luar media (outside media level), dan yang terakhir adalah pengaruh ideologi (ideology level). Adapun Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis framing Robert Etnman yang terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yang terdiri dari problem identification, causal interpretation, moral evaluation, dan treatment recommendation.
