Abstract
Laboratorium Tekstil dan Produk Tekstil (TPT) berperan sangat penting dalam perkembangan industri tekstil di Indonesia karena untuk tetap menjaga daya saing maka diperlukan produk TPT yang berkualitas. Oleh karena itu diperlukan laboratorium TPT yang menjaga kualitas produk tersebut. Standard ISO 17025 telah diterapkan yang merupakan persyaratan umum untuk kompetensi laboratorium pengujian dan kalibrasi. Namun untuk peningkatan kualitas laboratorium perlu diterapkan pendekatan lain yang salah satunya penerapan lean dalam laboratorium. Faktor keberhasilan suatu laboratorium adalah kualitas pengujian dan kecepatan pengujian atau biasa disebut Turn Around Time (TAT). Pada saat melakukan penelitian, TAT laboratorium belum dapat memenuhi persyaratan yang ditetapkan perusahaan yaitu 7 hari kerja dan TAT laboratorium TPT global yaitu 5 hari kerja untuk jasa regular. Oleh karena itu peneliti melakukan Value Stream Mapping (VSM) dan berdasarkan pemetaan VSM ditemukan waste yang terdapat pada sub-divisi laboratorium preparasi dan melakukan relayout yang mengacu pada salah satu lean tools yaitu continuous flows untuk dapat mengurangi waste. Continuous flows juga diterapkan pada sub- divisi laboratorium organik proses ekstraksi sehingga secara keseluruhan dapat mengurangi sistem batch yang telah berjalan pada laboratorium TPT ini. Dalam penerapan lean tools tersebut, peneliti berhasil menurunkan TAT perusahaan yang sebelumnya secara rata-rata bulanan 7,5 hari menjadi 6,5 hari. Textile and Textile Products (TTP) laboratories play a very important role in the development of the textile industry in Indonesia because in order to maintain competitiveness, it requires quality textile products. Therefore, a textile laboratory is needed to maintain the quality of the product. The ISO 17025 standard has been applied which is a general requirement for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. For improve the quality of the laboratory, another approach is needed, one is lean application in the laboratory. The success factor of a laboratory is testing quality and testing speed or commonly called Turn Around Time (TAT). When conducting research, the laboratory TAT has not been able to meet the requirements set by the company, namely 7 working days and a global TPT laboratory that is 5 working days for regular services. Therefore, researchers conducted Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and based on VSM mapping found waste contained in the preparation laboratory sub-division and relayed which refers to one of the lean tools, namely continuous flows to reduce waste. Continuous flows are also applied to the organic laboratory sub-division of the extraction process so that overall it can reduce the batch system that has been running in this TPT laboratory. In the application of lean tools, the researchers succeeded in reducing the company's TAT which was previously a monthly average of 7.5 days to 6.5 days.
