Abstract

Film is a complex linguistic text structure and visual codes that are arranged to produce special meanings. Film is not just a collection of images or stereotypes. Films form meaning through the arrangement of visual and verbal signs. It is this textual structure that we must examine because this is where the meaning is produced. In the film there is a Director must be able to understand the details of the story to be told or told. The director will try to translate or visualize the written language in the scenario into an image / visual. In this regard, there is a phrase among the directors "What is failed to tell, it will also fail in the field" Therefore the director must coordinate with all parties so that the message in the story can be conveyed properly. PILIH’AN is a short comedy Drama genre that tells the story of a couple of Ben and Ana who forgot to lock the door until their house conquered 3 robbers and the robber found a safe and gave Ben the choice of choosing his wife's wealth or life. The concept of directing in this film is the Imaginary Line lines or boundaries that should not be passed by a cameramen in recording images, if the player moves in a scene, then the imaginary line also moves Keywords: Film, Director, Comedy drama, and Imaginary Line Director. Film merupakan teks-struktur linguistik yang kompleks dan kode-kode visual yang disusun untuk memproduksi makna-makna khusus. Film bukan hanya sekedar koleksi atas gambaran atau stereotype. Film-film membentuk makna melalui susunan tanda-tanda visual dan verbal. Struktur tekstual inilah yang harus kita periksa karena disinilah makna dihasilkan. Dalam film ada seorang Sutradara harus mampu memahami dengan detil cerita yang akan disampaikan atau diceritakannya. Sutradara akan berusaha menerjemahkan atau memvisualkan bahasa tulisan pada skenario menjadi gambar / visual. Berkaitan dengan hal itu, ada satu ungkapan di kalangan sutradara “Apa yang gagal diceritakan, maka akan gagal pula dilapangan” Oleh karena itu sutradara harus berkoordinasi dengan seluruh pihak agar pesan dalam cerita dapat tersampaikan dengan baik. PILIH’AN merupakan film pendek bergenre Drama Komedi yang menceritakan tentang pasangan suami istri Ben dan Ana yang lupa mengunci pintu hingga rumah mereka kemasukan 3 prampok dan prampok tersebut menemukan sebuah brangkas dan memberikan pilihan kepada Ben memilih harta atau nyawa istrinya. Konsep penyutradaraan dalam film ini adalah Garis Imajiner garis atau batasan yang tidak boleh dilewati oleh seorang cameramen dalam melakukan perekaman gambar, jika pemain bergerak dalam suatu adegan, maka garis imajiner ikut bergerak Kata Kunci: Film, Sutradara, Drama komedi, dan Sutradara Garis Imajiner.
