Abstract

At present, the world market is experiencing rapid changes in demand in terms of product diversification both goods and services and increasingly competitive prices. Logistics costs in Indonesia are high compared to other ASEAN countries. So, that to anticipate the automotive industry to do efficiency in the packing side in order to reduce logistics costs, one of them is by doing space efficiency and layout to solve container loading problems by designing a pallet layout in an optimal container. The current actual condition is that the average container load is only 86.92%. So that in this study a pattern of compilation will be made by using Genetic Algorithm to increase container filling. From the simulation results get an average occupancy of 89.49% for the use of 40ft containers and 91.20% for the use of 20ft containers. Keywords: Automotive, Optimization, Genetic Algorithm Saat ini pasar dunia mengalami perubahan permintaan yang begitu cepat dari segi diversifikasi produk baik barang dan jasa serta harganya yang semakin kompetitif. Biaya logistik di Indonesia termasuk tinggi dibandingkan negara-negara ASEAN lainnya. Sehingga untuk mengantisipasinya industri otomotif melakukan efisiensi di sisi pengepakan guna menekan biaya logistik salah satunya dengan melakukan efisiensi ruang dan tata letak untuk memecahkan masalah container loading problem dengan cara mendesain pengemasan tata letak pallet dalam kontainer yang optimal. Kondisi aktual saat ini rata-rata keterisian container hanya mencapai 86.92%. Sehingga dalam penelitian ini akan dibuat pola penyusunan dengan menggunakan Genetic Algorithm untuk meningkatkan keterisian container. Dari hasil simulasi di dapatkan rata-rata keterisian menjadi 89.49% untuk penggunaan container 40ft dan 91.20% untuk penggunaan container 20ft. Kata Kunci : Otomotif, Optimasi, Genetic Algorithm
