Abstract

Cultural park is a place that can represent the identity or character of an area or region. Indonesia is a country that has a variety of cultural identities and characters spread all over the country. Yogyakarta, as it is often referred to as the city of arts and culture, is a city that is well-known for being closely related to the culture of Central Java. So the role of the existence of a cultural park is very important to maintain local wisdom and culture in the Yogyakarta area. Cultural parks in addition to maintaining local wisdom and culture can also help the pace of the local community's economy that is sustainable and well accommodated. This design study aims to design a Cultural Park in accordance with the framework of reference that has several criteria, namely buildings and complexes that are representative and become icons in the area and become a place that can accommodate the activities and creativity of arts and cultural actors, especially in the Yogyakarta area. In addition, the existence of this cultural park can be used by the community as a place for educational tourism and cultural promotion. The concept carried in this Cultural Park is an original, creative and innovative concept by taking into account the principles of sustainable architecture and the concept of vernacular architecture. Keywords : Cultural Park, Local Cultural Wisdom, Architecture, Central Java Taman budaya merupakan tempat yang dapat merepresentasikan identitas atau karakter suatu daerah atau wilayah. Indonesia merupakan negara yang memiliki berbagai macam identitas dan karakter budaya yang tersebar di segala penjuru negeri. Yogyakarta sebagaimana sering disebut sebagai kota seni dan budaya merupakan kota yang terkenal lekat dengan kebudayaan Jawa Tengah. Makanya peran dari adanya Taman budaya sangat penting untuk menjaga kearifan serta budaya lokal yang terdapat di daerah Yogyakarta. Taman budaya selain untuk menjaga kearifan dan budaya lokal juga dapat membantu laju perekonomian masyarakat sekitar yang berkelanjutan dan diwadahi dengan baik. Kajian perancangan ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah Taman Budaya yang sesuai dengan kerangka acuan kerja yang mempunyai beberapa kriteria yaitu bangunan dan kompleks yang representatif dan menjadi ikon di tersebut serta menjadi wadah yang dapat menampung aktivitas dan kreativitas pelaku seni dan budaya khususnya di wilayah Yogyakarta. Selain itu dengan adanya Taman budaya ini dapat dijadikan oleh masyarakat sebagai tempat wisata edukasi dan promosi budaya. Konsep yang diusung pada Taman budaya ini adalah konsep yang orisinal, kreatif dan juga inovatif dengan memperhatikan kaidah-kaidah arsitektur berkelanjutan dan juga konsep arsitektur vernakular.
