Abstract

Pertumbuhan order yang semakin meningkat tiap tahun membuat PT. IFF berupaya untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksinya dengan cara meningkatkan produktivitas departemen produksi dalam hal ini departemen powder plant. Namun peningkatan kapasitas departemen powder plant selalu terhambat dikarenakan salah satu unit penentu keberhasilan peningkatan kapasitas powder plant yaitu dispensing masih mengalami berbagai macam kendala yang berhubungan dengan produktivitas. Sehingga dengan kata lain peningkatan produktivitas di powder plant tergantung pada unit dispensing. Peningkatan produktivitas dapat dilakukan dengan menghilangkan pemborosan yang terjadi di setiap aliran proses. Sehingga pada penulisan ini dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pemborosan, mengurangi pemborosan dan membuat perbaikan sehingga dapat meningkatkan produktivitas pada dispensing. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pemborosan diproses aktivitas dispensing, mengurangi pemborosan dan memperbaiki proses sehingga produktifitas di dispensing meningkat. Berdasarkan data yang dikumpulkan dan pengolahan data berdasarkan metode waste assessment model, ada tiga pemborosan yang berhasil diidentifikasi. Pemborosan inventori menempati urutan pertama (19.23%), diikuti oleh pemborosan karena defect (18.16%) dan rangking terakhir adalah overproduction (16.58%). Metode lain yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah process activity mapping dari tujuh alat value stream mapping. Dari metode process activity mapping, telah ditemukan bahwa aktivitas menunggu yang disebabkan oleh aktivitas transportasi adalah waktu terlama yang dibutuhkan pada proses di dispensing (89.9%). Aktivitas yang bernilai tambah dari hasil metode ini adalah 4.56%, diikuti oleh aktivitas yang tidak bernilai tambah tapi diperlukan sebesar 6.24% dan terkahir adalah aktivitas yang tidak bernilai tambah sebesar 89.2%. Untuk mengurangi pemborosan di dispensing menurut hasil penelitian maka diusulkan untuk membuat perbaikan proses sebagai berikut: 1. Relokasi aktivitas dispensing 2. Perubahan lay out aktivitas di dispensing. 3. Mengurangi waktu preparasi dengan cara pengelolaan inventori. IFF seeks to increase its production capacity by increasing the productivity of the production department in this department of plant powder. But the powder plant capacity building department is always hampered because one unit determinant of success in improving the capacity of the plant powder dispensing still experiencing a variety of problems related to productivity. So in other words an increase in productivity in the plant depends on the powder dispensing unit. Increased productivity can be done by eliminating the waste that occurs in each process flow. So that at this writing the research conducted with the aim to identify waste, reduce waste and make improvements so as to increase productivity in dispensing.The paper aims to identify the waste in dispensing process activity, to reduce waste and to improve process activity so the productivity in dispensing process will be increased. Based on data collection and processing data according to waste assessment model, there are three dominant wastes which are identified. The waste of inventory is in the first rank (19.23%), followed by waste of defect (18.16%) and the last rank is overproduction (16.58%). Another method that the paper used in the research is process activity mapping method from the seven value stream mapping tools. From the process activity mapping method, it is found that the delay activity causing from transportation is the longest time needed in dispensing process activity (89.9%). The value added activity obtained from the method is 4.56%, followed by the non value added but necessary (6.24%) and the last; non value added (89.2%). To reduce waste according to result, it is proposed to make improvement of process by: 1. Relocation of dispensing activity 2. Relay out of dispensing process of activity 3.
