Abstract

There are many problems that occur in the field of education, one of which is problems in terms of self-regulation which can have an impact on the disciplinary behavior of students both in carrying out activities at school and at home. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-regulation and discipline in eleventh grade students of Madrasah Aliyah Al-Falah, West Jakarta. This study uses quantitative methods with saturated sampling techniques. In this study, the samples obtained were 86 respondents. The measuring instrument in this study uses a discipline scale, there are 32 items with a reliability value of α = 0.881 and a self-regulation scale with 43 items that have a reliability value of α = 0.934, it can be said that the two measuring instruments are reliable. The results obtained in this study have a correlation value (r) of 0.470 with a significant value of 0.000 (p <0.01). Thus, it is concluded that there is a positive relationship and the significance of self-regulation with student discipline. The higher the self-regulation, the higher the disciplinary behavior and vice versa, the lower the self-regulation, the lower the individual disciplinary behavior. Keywords: Self-Regulation, Discipline, Students, Eleventh Grade, Madrasah Aliyah Al-Falah Banyak permasalahan yang terjadi di dalam bidang pendidikan, salah satunya adalah permasalahan dalam hal regulasi diri yang dapat berdampak pada perilaku kedisiplinan para siswa-siswi baik dalam melakukan kegiatan di sekolah maupun di rumah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Regulasi Diri dengan Kedisiplinan pada siswa-siswi kelas XI madrasah Aliyah Al-Falah Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel jenuh. Dalam penelitian ini, sampel yang didapatkan sebanyak 86 responden. Alat ukur pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala kedisiplinan, terdapat 32 item dengan nilai reliabilitas α = 0.881 dan skala regulasi diri dengan 43 item yang memiliki nilai reliabilitas α = 0.934, dapat dikatakan kedua alat ukur tersebut reliabel. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini memiliki nilai korelasi (r) 0.470 dengan nilai signifikan sebesar 0.000 (p < 0.01). Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikasi regulasi diri dengan kedisiplinan siswa. Semakin tinggi regulasi diri maka semakin tinggi pula perilaku kedisiplinan dan begitu pula sebaliknya, semakin rendah regulasi diri maka akan semakin rendah pula perilaku kedisiplinan pada individu.
