Abstract

The study aims to determine the correlation between self esteem with self disclosure on instagram social media use aerly adolescent The subjects in this study were 101 respondents. The sampling method used is Purposive sampling, where the sample comes from early adolescent. The self esteem measure consists of 22 items with a reliability of 0.749, a measure of self disclosure of 14 items with a reliability of 0.755. Data is taken using a Likert scale. Data analysis using the Spearman Rho Correlation technique because the data is abnormally distributed with a significance <0.05 which is 0.000. The results of this study between social identity and collective action have a correlation coefficient r = 0.193 with a significance p <0.05, which shows a relationship strong and positive between social identity with collective action. Keywords: self esteem, self disclosure, instagram, teenager Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self esteem dengan self disclosure pada pengguna media social instagram di kalangan remaja awal. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 101 responden. Metode sampling yang digunakan adalah Purposive sampling, dimana sampel berasal dari remaja awal usia 12-15 tahun. Alat ukur self esteem terdiri dari 22 butir pertannyaan dengan reabilitas sebesar 0.749, alat ukur self disclosure terdiri dari 14 butir pertanyaan dengan reabilitas 0.755. Data diambil dengan menggunakan skala likert.Analisa data menggunakan teknik Spearman Rho Correlation karena data berdistribusi tidak normal dengan nilai signifikasi < 0.05, yaitu 0.000. Hasil penelitian ini antara self esteem dengan self disclosure memiliki nilai dan koefesiensi korelasi r = 0.193 dengan signifikansi p ,0.05, maka hasil tersebut menunjukan hubungan yang kuat dan positif antara self esteem dengan self disclosure.
