Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Profitability and Free Cash Flow on the Capital Structure with Firm Size as a moderating variable. The population used in this study is a Food and Beverage sub sector company in the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2011-2018. The sample used was 9 companies, with selected used by purposive sampling method. The analytical method used is a multiple linear regression and residual test. The result show that profitability has no effect on capital structure. While, free cash flow has a positive effect and significant on capital structure. On moderating test with the residual test, firm size does not moderate the relationship of profitability and free cash flow on capital structure. Keywords: Capital Structure, Profitability, Free Cash Flow, and Firm Size. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh profitabilitas dan free cash flow terhadap struktur modal dengan ukuran perusahaan sebagai variabel moderasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan sub sektor food and beverage di BEI tahun 2011-2018. Sampel yang dipergunakan adalah sebanyak 9 perusahaan, yang diseleksi berdasarkan metode purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda dan uji residual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel profitabilitas tidak berpengaruh terhadap struktur modal. Sedangkan variabel free cash flow berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Pada pengujian moderasi dengan pendekatan uji residual, ukuran perusahaan tidak memoderasi hubungan antara profitabilitas dan free cash flow terhadap struktur modal. Kata Kunci: Struktur Modal, Profitabilitas, Free Cash Flow, dan Ukuran Perusahaan.
