Abstract
PT SSK is a company engaged in the service of cutting steel into sheet steel and Coil rolls. The problems faced by the placement of the work station cut sheet & coil slitting Many that do not fit the needs of the work stations such as Repacking workstations with Mini Press are far away and Carpenter workstations with all lines Production. The company does not account for the losses incurred due to the absence of the approach of each workstation. The method used to solve this problem is the Systematic Layout Planning method with the help of UA-FLP software. Analysis was conducted by comparing the total material displacement distance between the initial layout and the proposed layout, which then impacted the change in material handling expenses. Total displacement distance drops to 2.302,4 meters/production cycles of 15.225 meters/production cycles on the initial layout. The decrease in distance caused the cost reduction of material handling by 8,2% from the initial condition, namely from OMH Initial layout of Rp8.961.997/production cycle to Rp8.228.867/cycle of production. PT SSK merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang jasa pemotongan baja menjadi lembaran baja dan Coil gulungan. Masalah yang dihadapi penempatan stasiun kerja produksi cut sheet & coil slitting banyak yang tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan antar stasiun kerja seperti stasiun kerja Repacking dengan Mini Press yang terlampau jauh dan stasiun kerja Carpenter dengan semua line produksi. Perusahaan tidak memperhitungkan kerugian-kerugian yang ditimbulkan akibat tidak adanya pendekatan setiap stasiun kerja. Metode yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini adalah metode Systematic Layout Planning dengan bantuan software UA-FLP. Analisis dilakukan dengan membandingkan total jarak perpindahan material antara tata letak awal dengan tata letak usulan, yang kemudian berdampak pada perubahan ongkos material handling. Total jarak perpindahan turun menjadi 2.302,4 meter/siklus produksi dari 15.225 meter/siklus produksi pada tata letak awal. Penurunan jarak menyebabkan penurunan ongkos material handling sebesar 8,2% dari kondisi awal, yaitu dari OMH tata letak awal sebesar Rp8.961.997/siklus produksi menjadi Rp8.228.867/siklus produksi.
