Abstract

ABSTRAK PT. XYZ site Cikarang merupakan sebuah perusahaan farmasi yang terfokus dalam penelitian dan pengembangan berbagai jenis obat. Bahan kimia merupakan suatu hal yang sangat penting dalam pengujian di laboratorium. Penyimpanan bahan kimia yang tidak tepat dapat menimbulkan reaksi yang berbahaya seperti ledakan. Oleh karena itu, bahan kimia yang sifatnya mudah terbakar sebaiknya disimpan pada Flammable Cabinet. Pengendalian bahan kimia yang baik diperlukan untuk mengelola persediaan bahan kimia agar efektif, efesien dan mencegah terjadinya kecelakaan kerja. Namun, dalam pengelolaan bahan kimia yang dilakukan perusahaan belum optimal karena permasalahan yang dihadapi yaitu Flammable Cabinet yang penuh (overload) dan persediaan yang berlebih. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kapasitas penyimpanan maksimal dan pengendalian persediaan bahan kimia methanol sehingga diperoleh jumlah pemesanan dan pesediaan yang optimal dengan adanya kendala kapasitas Flammable Cabinet. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Januari – Desember 2019. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode Algoritma Wagner Within dan Lot For Lot. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa metode AWW menghasilkan total biaya persediaan terendah yaitu sebesar Rp. 4.874.480 pada bahan kimia methanol dengan efesiensi sebesar 44% dari sebelumnya Rp. 8.696.640. Kata kunci: Pengendalian Persediaan, Algoritma Wagner Within (AWW), Lot For Lot (LFL). ABSTRACT PT. XYZ site Cikarang is a pharmaceutical company focused on the research and development of various types of drugs. Chemicals are very important in laboratory testing. Improper storage of chemicals can cause dangerous reactions such as explosions. Therefore, flammable chemicals should be stored in a Flammable Cabinet. Good chemical control is needed to manage chemical supplies to be effective, efficient and prevent work accidents. However, the management of chemicals carried out by the company is not optimal because of the problems such as overload Flammable Cabinet and overstock inventory. The purpose of this research is to analyze methanol chemicals inventory to get the optimal inventory with Flammable Cabinet capacity constraints. Data collection was carried out in January - December 2019. Data were analyzed using the Wagner Within algorithm and Lot For Lot. The results of the study showed that the AWW method produced the lowest total inventory cost of Rp. 4.874.480 in methanol chemicals with an efficiency of 44% from the previous Rp. 8.696.640.
