Abstract

ABSTRAK Timbulnya pemborosan (waste) di gudang bahan baku PT. Mensana Aneka Satwa dapat menjadi salah satu penyebab terjadinya keterlambatan proses distribusi produk. Keterlambatan tersebut dapat disebabkan oleh aktivitas-aktivitas yang tidak memberikan nilai tambah pada produk (non value added activities). Untuk mengurangi atau menghilangkan waste yang terjadi, perusahaan dapat menerapkan konsep Lean, dimana salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan adalah Value Stream Mapping (VSM). Metode VSM memvisualisasikan berbagai data dan aliran (material dan informasi) yang berkaitan dengan proses tersebut, sehingga dapat diketahui aktivitas yang memberikan nilai tambah pada produk (value added activities) dan aktivitas yang tidak memberikan nilai tambah pada produk (non value added activities). Terdapat 3 jenis waste pada proses yang berlangsung di gudang bahan baku PT. Mensana Aneka Satwa, di antaranya yaitu transportasi yang berlebihan (excessive transportation), proses yang tidak tepat (inappropriate processing), dan waktu tunggu (waiting). Metode Activity Relationship Chart dan Activity Relationship Diagram digunakan dalam perbaikan tata letak berdasarkan derajat hubungan aktivitas yang berlangsung. Selanjutnya perbaikan proses dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Peta Aliran Proses untuk mengurangi jumlah aktivitas, jarak tempuh, dan waktu siklus pekerjaan yang tidak diperlukan. Setelah dilakukan langkah-langkah perbaikan tersebut, nilai efisiensi kerja meningkat dari 81.58% menjadi 82.09%. Dengan begitu peningkatan yang terjadi sebesar 0.51%. Kata kunci : Lean, Waste, Value Stream Mapping, Gudang Bahan Baku ABSTRACT The waste in the raw material warehouse of PT. Mensana Aneka Satwa could be one of the causes of delay in the product distribution process. The existence of delay could be caused by activities that do not added value to the product (non value added). To reduce or eliminate the waste that occurs, the company could apply the Lean concept, which is one of the method that could be used is Value Stream Mapping (VSM). The VSM method visualizes various data and flows (material and information) related to the process, so we could know which activities that add value to the product (value added activities) and which activities do not provide added value to the product (non value added activities). There are 3 types of waste in the process that takes place at the raw material warehouse of PT. Mensana Aneka Satwa, including excessive transportation, inappropriate processing, and waiting. The Activity Relationship Chart and Activity Relationship Diagram methods are used to improve the layout based on the degree of relationship that takes place. Furthermore, process improvements are made using the Flow Process Chart method to reduce the amount of activity, the distance, and the cycle time that unnecessary. After the improvement steps, the value of work efficiency increased from 81.58% to 82.09%. Therefore, the increase occurred by 0.51%.
