Abstract

Mill or commonly referred to as pulverizer is a machine used in a power plant that functions as a coal grinder/refiner before being put into the combustion chamber (furnace), in order to obtain perfect combustion. The mill or pulverizer used in the 3 Lontar Banten PLTU is the SHMP TYPE HP963 PULVERIZERS type which is a Medium Speed Mill (MSM) produced by Shanghai Heavy Machinery Plant Co., Ltd. To prevent the occurrence of things that are not desirable on the mill / pulverizer equipment, we need a periodic maintenance, including Preventive & Periodic Maintenance, which is carried out after the mill operates for 3000 hours and every four years with operating hours (running hours). In this design there are two types of mill running hour displays, i.e. (1) The first display has the main function as a mill running hour display and is equipped with an alarm that will turn on after 3000 hours as an indicator that the device requires 3000 hours inspection; (2) The second display is the mill counter viewer without a reset button. The value in this display will continue to increase as long as it operates and stops the mill stop pipe. Both displays are mounted on each display (Foxview) "Pulverized coal A, Pulverized coal B, Pulverized coal C, Pulverized coal D, Pulverized coal E". In DCS (Distributed Control System) Invensys Foxboro I / A Series at PLTU Banten 3 Lontar, the following results and conclusions are obtained, (1) This Mill Running Hour Counter can calculate and display the operating hours (running hours) on the HMI display workstation for each mill , and (2) After implementing the Mill Running Hour Counter, the Operators and Maintenance Division can use this menu as a basic reference for the Mill timer to operate in real time and then be used as a monitoring report on the Mechanical Maintenance Field inspection. Key words: mill,running hour counter,DCS Foxboro I/A Series Mill atau yang biasa disebut dengan pulverizer merupakan suatu mesin yang digunakan di PLTU yang berfungsi sebagai penggerus/penghalus batubara sebelum dimasukan ke ruang bakar (furnace), agar didapatkan pembakaran yang sempurna. Adapun mill atau pulverizer yang digunakan di PLTU Banten 3 Lontar adalah tipe SHMP TYPE HP963 PULVERIZERS yang merupakan Medium Speed Mill (MSM) produksi dari Shanghai Heavy Machinery Plant Co.,Ltd. Untuk mencegah terjadinya hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan pada peralatan mill/pulverizer, diperlukan suatu pemeliharaan berkala, antara lain Preventive & Periodic Maintenance, yang dilakukan setelah mill beroperasi selama 3000 jam dan setiap empat tahun sekali dengan jam operasi (running hour). Pada perancangan ini terdapat dua jenis tampilan mill running hour, yaitu, (1) Tampilan pertama yang memiliki fungsi utama sebagai penampil mill running hour dan dilengkapi dengan alarm yang akan menyala setelah 3000 jam sebagai indikator bahwa peralat tersebut memerlukan 3000 hours inspection; (2) Tampilan kedua merupakan penampil mill counter tanpa dilengkapi tombol reset. Nilai pada tampilan ini akan bertambah secara terus meneru sealama beroperasi dan berhentiketipa mill stop. Kedua tampilan tersebut dipasang pada setiap display (foxview) “Pulverized coal A, Pulverized coal B, Pulverized coal C, Pulverized coal D, Pulverized coal E”. Pada DCS (Distributed Control System) Invensys Foxboro I/A Series PLTU Banten 3 Lontar, didapatkan hasil dan kesimpulan sebagai berikut, (1) Mill Running Hour Counter ini dapat menghitung dan menampilkan jam operasi (running hour) di HMI display workstation untuk setiap mill, dan (2) Setelah diimplementasikan Mill Running Hour Counter, Bidang Operator dan Pemeliharaan dapat menggunakan menu ini sebagai acuan dasar penghitung waktu Mill beroperasi secara real time untuk kemudian dijadikan monitoring laporan inspeksi Bidang pemeliharaan Mekanik.
