Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of financial performance on profitability in coal companies, the period 2014-2019. This study uses a panel data regression method with a Fixed Effect Model research model approach where a sample of 19 companies with a population of 26 companies in the Coal Sub-Sector is obtained in accordance with the criteria set by the author based on observations for 6 years, namely 2014-2019 using the E-views program. version 10 and Microsoft Excel 2016. The results show that Net Working Capital (NWC), Firm Size, and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) have a negative effect on Return On Assets (ROA), while Current Ratio (CR), and Total Assets Turnover (TATO) has a positive effect on Return On Assets (ROA) in coal mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2019. Keywords: Return On Assets, Net Working Capital, Firm Size, Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Total Assets Turnover Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kinerja keuangan terhadap profitabilitas pada perusahaan batubara, periode 2014-2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode regresi data panel dengan pendekatan model penelitian Fixed Effect Model dimana diperoleh sampel sebanyak 19 Perusahaan dengan populasi 26 pada perusahaan Sub Sektor Batubara yang sesuai dengan kriteria yang ditetapkan oleh penulis berdasarkan pengamatan selama 6 tahun yaitu 2014-2019 menggunakan program E-views versi 10 dan Microsoft Excel 2016. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa Net Working Capital (NWC), Firm Size, dan Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) berpengaruh negatif terhadap Return On Asset (ROA), sedangkan Current Ratio (CR), dan Total Assets Turnover (TATO) berpengaruh positif terhadap Return On Asset (ROA) Pada perusahaan pertambangan batubara yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2014-2019.
