Abstract

Centrifugal compressor is one of the equipment that is often used in the oil and gas industry. For extracting oil from reservoirs, high pressure gas injection is needed to make it easier to extract from the platform. Some centrifugal compressors that are often used are C505 and C306 models. In operational conditions, compressors often experience a decrease in performance due to many things, one of which is due to changes in the composition of the compressed gas. To find out the optimal level of compressor performance, it is necessary to evaluate the performance using an empirical approach or through a plot on the operational point graph issued by the manufacturer. Understanding that needs to be known about compressor performance is Head, efficiency, Inlet Flow, and Power. The data obtained in the field for 2 months on the C505 and C306 compressors are then processed to find out the ideal operational conditions. Laboratory results show the specific gravity value of the gas flowing into the B1C compressor has changed to 0.6708. From the results of data processing and analysis, it is known that overall the B1C compressor unit operates with an efficiency of <70% and is forced to operate beyond its ideal conditions. Centrifugal compressor merupakan salah satu peralatan yang sering digunakan dalam industri minyak and gas. Untuk pengambilan minyak dari reservoir, dibutuhkan injeksi gas dengan tekanan yang tinggi agar mempermudah pengambilan dari atas platform. Beberapa centrifugal compressor yang sering digunakan yaitu model C505 dan C306. Pada kondisi operational compressor dilapangan sering terjadi penurunan performance yang disebabkan banyak hal, salah satunya adalah karena berubahnya komposisi gas yang dikompresi. Untuk mengetahui tingkat keoptimalan kinerja compressor maka perlu dilakukan evaluasi kinerja dengan menggunakan pendekatan empiris maupun melalui plot pada grafik operational point yang dikeluarkan oleh pabrik pembuat. Pemahaman yang perlu diketahui mengenai performance compressor yaitu Head, efficiency, Inlet Flow, dan Power. Data yang didapat dilapangan selama 2 bulan pada compressor C505 dan C306, kemudian diolah untuk mengetahui kondisi operasional yang ideal. Hasil laboratorium menunjukkan nilai specific gravity dari gas yang dialirkan menuju B1C compressor telah berubah menjadi 0,6708. Dari hasil pengolahan data dan analisis diketahui bahwa secara keseluruhan unit B1C compressor beroperasi dengan efficiency <70% dan dipaksa untuk dioperasikan melebihi kondisi idealnya.
