Abstract

Steam Gas Power Plant (PLTGU) is a combination of a Gas Power Plant (PLTG) and a Steam Power Plant (PLTU). The steam that used to drive a steam turbine is produced at Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG). In HRSG, the water is heated by exhaust gas from a gas turbine that has a high temperature. Due to the increasing need for electrical energy in Indonesia, HRSG must always be optimal to produce steam according to the gas turbine load so that the power produced by steam turbine does not decrease. The purpose of this research was to know the effect of changes in the opening of the Inlet Guide Vane (IGV) on a gas turbine to the exhaust temperature of a gas turbine and its effect to the efficiency of HRSG. The analytical method in this research uses quantitative data analysis of HRSG operating parameters based on predetermined variables. After re-controlling the IGV, the exhaust temperature of gas turbine increases around 17.170C and the HRSG efficiency increases around 1.89% at each gas turbine load. Key word : IGV, gas turbine exhaust, HRSG, efficiency Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gas dan Uap (PLTGU) merupakan penggabungan antara Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gas (PLTG) dan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU). Uap yang digunakan untuk menggerakkan turbin uap dihasilkan oleh Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG). Di HRSG, air dipanaskan oleh gas buang turbin gas yang masih memiliki temperatur tinggi. Dengan bertambahnya kebutuhan energi listrik di Indonesia maka jumlah uap yang dihasilkan oleh HRSG harus selalu optimal sesuai pembebanan turbin gas agar daya yang dihasilkan turbin uap tidak mengalami penurunan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh perubahan pembukaan Inlet Guide Vane (IGV) pada turbin gas terhadap temperatur exhaust turbin gas dan pengaruhnya terhadap efisiensi HRSG. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan analisa data secara kuantitatif dari data parameter operasi HRSG berdasarkan variabel yang telah ditentukan. Hasil setelah dilakukan pengontrolan ulang IGV adalah meningkatnya temperatur exhaust turbin gas rata – rata sebesar 17,170C dan meningkatnya efisiensi HRSG rata – rata sebesar 1,89 % pada masing – masing pembebanan turbin gas.
