Abstract

The main function of the suspension is to reduce shock between the road surface to the vehicle body. The development of the suspension until now comes the air suspension, which is equipped with air balloons as a substitute for the shock absorbers. Seeing the many cases that occur in air suspensions, especially on Porsche Cayenne vehicles at PT Autorama Euroasia made this theme raised. Almost every day, the company that receives maintenance and repairs, especially the Porsche brand vehicles, receives 1- 3 vehicles with complaints about the air suspension system. If calculated in one month, then PT Autorama Euroasia can repair 25-60 units of vehicles to repair the problem of air suspension. From the many air suspension problems that occur there arose the main thought to identify air suspension problems, find solutions to solve the air suspension problem and perform maintenance and repair of air suspension components on Porsche Cayenne cars. The problem solving method in this study uses the method of field study, observation and testing several vehicle samples. 5 vehicle samples were taken with the air suspension system problem, then analyzed using equipment that has been prepared, read out the fault code, search for a fault code description, do the demolition, check the pressure and then find the cause of the problem. So it can be concluded from the results of the analysis that it has been identified that vehicle samples A, B and C have a 65% leakage and wear on the air balloon / air spring O-ring seal, vehicle D sample has damage to the rubber arm level sensor, and vehicle sample E suffered an internal short circuit / damage to the internal control unit of the air suspension system. And solution solutions have been obtained from 5 vehicle samples namely: vehicle samples A, B and C replace the material and hardness value of the air balloon O-ring seal using the material "HNBR" with a hardness value of "78 Unit" type shore A because of the O-ring seal this material has strength, durability, specifications above the material "NITRILE (BUNA N)", vehicle D samples replace the material and the hardness value of the level sensor rubber arm using the material "HNBR" with a hardness value of "27 Units" type shore D due to rubber arm level This material sensor has the strength, durability, specifications above the "NITRILE (BUNA N)" material and the vehicle E sample replaces and updates the internal components on the control unit, due to internal short circuit / internal damage. Keywords: Shock absorbers, observation, air suspension leak, o-ring seal, replace. Fungsi utama dari suspensi adalah meredam kejutan antara permukaan jalan ke bodi kendaraan. Semakin berkembangnya suspensi hingga saat ini muncullah suspensi udara, yang dibekali balon udara sebagai pengganti per peredam kejutnya. Melihat banyaknya kasus yang terjadi pada suspensi udara, khususnya pada kendaraan Porsche Cayenne di PT Autorama Euroasia menjadikan tema ini diangkat. Hampir per-harinya perusahaan yang menerima perawatan dan perbaikan khususnya kendaraan brand Porsche ini menerima 1-3 kendaraan keluhan sistem suspensi udara. Jika dihitung dalam satu bulan, maka PT Autorama Euroasia bisa memperbaiki 25-60 unit kendaraan untuk perbaikan masalah suspensi udara. Dari banyaknya masalah suspensi udara yang terjadi muncullah pokok pemikiran untuk mengidentifikasi masalah suspensi udara, mencari solusi pemecahan masalah suspensi udara dan melakukan perawatan dan perbaikan komponen-komponen suspensi udara pada mobil Porsche Cayenne. Metode pemecahan masalah pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi lapangan, observasi dan menguji beberapa sample kendaraan. Diambil 5 sample kendaraan dengan masalah sistem suspensi udara, lalu dianalisis menggunakan peralatan yang telah disiapkan, dilakukan pembacaan kode kerusakan, pencarian deskripsi kode kerusakan, dilakukan pembongkaran, pemeriksaan tekanan lalu ditemukanlah penyebab dari masalah tersebut. Sehingga dapat diambil kesimpulan dari hasil analisa bahwa telah teridentifikasi bahwa sampel kendaraan A, B dan C mengalami kebocoran 65% dan keausan pada seal O-ring balon udara/ air spring, sampel kendaraan D mengalami kerusakan pada karet lengan level sensor, dan sampel kendaraan E mengalami internal short circuit/ kerusakan internal control unit sistem suspensi udara. Dan telah diperoleh solusi pemecahan masalah dari 5 sampel kendaraan yaitu: sampel kendaraan A, B dan C mengganti material dan nilai kekerasan seal O-ring balon udara menggunakan material “HNBR” dengan nilai kekerasan “78 Unit” tipe shore A karena seal O-ring material ini memiliki kekuatan, ketahanan, spesifikasi di atas material “NITRILE (BUNA N)”, sampel kendaraan D mengganti material dan nilai kekerasan karet lengan level sensor menggunakan material “HNBR” dengan nilai kekerasan “27 Unit” tipe shore D karena karet lengan level sensor material ini memiliki kekuatan, ketahanan, spesifikasi di atas material “NITRILE (BUNA N)” dan sampel kendaraan E mengganti dan memperbaharui komponen internal yang ada pada control unit, dikarenakan terjadi internal short circuit/ kerusakan internal. Kata Kunci: Peredam kejut, observasi, kebocoran suspensi udara, seal o-ring, mengganti.
