Abstract
ABSTRAK Kajian Eksperimental Pengaruh Penambahan Limbah Tetes Tebu (Molasses) Terhadap Kuat Tekan Campuran Beton Berbasis Fly Ash. Agustinus Setyo Wibowo, 41114320023, Agung Sumarno, S.T., M.T., 2019. Tugas Akhir. Jurusan Teknik Sipil Fakultas Teknik Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta. Molasses, produk sampingan dari industri gula, digunakan sebagai mengurangi lajur reaksi dan panas hidrasi beton dengan campuran beton berbasis abu terbang (Fly Ash). Fly Ash sebagai sebagian pengganti semen untuk kuat tekan dan daya tahan beton diakui melalui berbagai penelitian. Dalam penelitian ini, sifat mekanik seperti kekuatan tekan dan kemampuan kerja dari beton yang menambahkan Molasses dan subtitusi semen menggunakan Fly Ash yang bersumber dari limbah pembakaran batu bara tipe F dari Unit PLTU Paiton Probolinggo Jawa Timur. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan terkait hal tersebut adalah dengan mengurangi penggunaan semen dengan menambahkan bahan Fly Ash. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kemungkinan pemanfaatan limbah sisa pembakaran batu bara (Fly Ash) sebagai bahan substitusi sebagian semen dalam struktur beton, dengan persentase substitusi 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, dan 20%. dan Tetes Tebu (Molasses) sebagai bahan tambah dengan konsentrasi 0,2% dan 0,4% dari berat semen, diujikan pada 7, 14, 21, 28 hari. Kekuatan beton menunjukkan sedikit peningkatan, peningkatan tertinggi pada usia 28 hari pada beton dengan konsentrasi Molasses 0,4% dengan Fly Ash 5% yaitu 2,9% dari beton yang direncanakan f’c 30MPa. Hasil uji kuat tekan beton normal dengan kuat tekan beton menggunakan bahan tambah Molasses dengan campuran beton berbasis Fly Ash menunjukkan penurunan kekuatan yang signifikan pada semua umur dan semua konsentrasi bahan tambah dengan Fly Ash. Namun, ada peningkatan kekuatan tekan dari umur 7 hari sampai 28 hari yang mencapai 31,28% untuk dosis Molasses 0,2% dengan Fly Ash 10%. Molasses, a by-product of sugar industry, is used as a water reducing, retarding admixture with mixed concrete based on Fly Ash. Fly Ash as a partial replacement of cement on the strength and durability of concrete are recognized through numerous researches. In this study, mechanical property such as compressive strength and workability of concrete adding sugarcane molasses and cement subtitution using Fly Ash sourced of coke type F, from PLTU Paiton Probolinggo Unit, East Java. One effort that can do this related to this reduce the use of cement by adding Fly Ash ingredients. This study aims to look at the possible utilization of residual coal combustion (Fly Ash) as a partial substitution material for cement in concrete structures, with a substitution percentage of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. and sugarcane (Molasses) as ingredients added with a concentration of 0.2% and 0.4% of the weight of cement, tested at 7, 14, 21, 28 days. The strength of concretes showed a slight increase, the highest increase at 28 days in concrete with a concentration of 0.4% Molasses with 5% Fly Ash that is 2.9% of planned concrete f’c 30MPa. The results of the normal concrete compressive strength test with concrete compressive strength using added material Molasses with mixed concrete based on Fly Ash showed a significant reduction in strength at all ages and all added material concentrations with Fly Ash. However, there was an increase in compressive strength from 7 days to 28 days which reached 31.28% for Molasses 0.2% dosage with 10% Fly Ash.
