Abstract

ABSTRAK Ardiansyah, 2018. Studi Komparasi Penggunaan Sodium Glukonat dan Sukrosa sebagai Retarder Pada Beton Mutu Tinggi ( High Strenght Concrete ). Tugas Akhir Jurusan Teknik Sipil Fakultas Teknik Universitas Mercu Buana Bekasi. Beton mutu tinggi biasanya digunakan untuk bahan bangunan struktur seperti struktur bangunan gedung bertingkat tinggi, struktur jembatan, dan memerlukan beton dengan kuat tekan lebih dari 40 MPa (Luga and Atis, 2016). Namun waktu ikat (setting time) beton mutu tinggi yang cepat menyebabkan waktu penyaluran (pengiriman) beton dari perusahaan readymix menjadi masalah dan berimbas kepada jarak tempuh serta rute dan traffic (Arman A. 2017). Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan terkait hal tersebut adalah dengan penggunaan bahan yang bersifat retarder. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbandingan pengaruh dari sukrosa dan sodium glukonat terhadap kuat tekan awal (umur 7 hari) dan kuat tekan umur 28 hari beton. Sodium glukonat dan Sukrosa diperlakukan sebagai bahan tambah dengan persentase 0%, 0,05%, 0,10%, 0,15%, dan 0,20% dari berat semen. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sukrosa memiliki kuat tekan awal ( umur 7 hari) yang rendah pada persentase 0,05% yaitu 28,25 MPa dan kuat tekan pada 28 hari mencapai nilai yang signifikan pada persentase 0,15% yaitu mencapai 55,72 MPa sedang sodium glukonat memiliki kuat tekan umur 7 hari pada persentase 0,10% dengan kuat tekan 27,67 MPa sedang pada umur 28 hari rata-rata memiliki kuat tekan dibawah beton normal. Selain itu penggunaan Sukrosa dengan persentase tertentu bisa meningkatkan kuat tekan beton pada umur 28 hari. High quality concrete is usually used for structural building materials such as high-rise building structures, bridge structures, and requires concrete with a compressive strength of more than 40 MPa (Luga and Atis, 2016). However, the fast setting time of high-quality concrete causes the time of delivery concrete from readymix companies to be a problem and impact on the distance and route and traffic (Arman A. 2017). One effort that can be done related to this is to use retarder material. This study aims to see the comparison effect of sucrose and sodium gluconate on initial compressive strength (7 days) and 28 days of concrete compressive strength. Sodium gluconate and sucrose are treated as added ingredients with a percentage of 0%, 0.05%, 0.10%, 0.15%, and 0.20% of the cement weight. The test results showed that sucrose had an initial compressive strength (7 days of age) which was low at a percentage of 0.05% which was 28.25 MPa and compressive strength at 28 days reached a significant value at the percentage of 0.15% which reached 55.72 MPa medium sodium gluconate has a compressive strength of 7 days at a percentage of 0.10% with compressive strength of 27.67 MPa while at 28 days the average has compressive strength under normal concrete. Besides that, using a certain percentage of sucrose can increase the compressive strength of concrete at the age of 28 days.
