Abstract

Kebutuhan pesatnya layanan data pada jaringan telekomunikasi terus meningkat, jumlah trafik data setiap tahun selalu bertambah sedangkan trafik voice cenderung stagnan bahkan menurun. Teknologi 4G LTE (Generasi ke-empat Long Term Evolution) sebagai teknologi jaringan telekomunikasi terbaru dari 3GPP (Thrid Generation Pathnership Project) mampu memberikan kecepatan dan kapasitas lebih baik dari teknologi sebelumnya. Implementasi 4G LTE ini menjawab tantangan trend kebutuhan akan layanan data yang terus meningkat. Dalam proses implementasinya terdapat 2 tantangan besar yaitu terbatasnya lebar pita frekuensi di 1800 MHz dikarenakan harus berbagi dengan sistem eksisting 2G DCS 1800 MHz, dan kondisi demografi Indonesia yang bervariasi. Model dibangun dengan mengkombinasikan carrier aggregation dan tipe MIMO 4x4. Untuk variasi lebar pita 8 MHz, 10 MHz, 15 MHz dan 20 MHz dengan kombinasi frekuensi di 1800 MHz dan 2100 MHz. Dengan melakukan simulasi area di Jabodetabek akan dihasilkan model lebar pita yang berbeda pada masing-masing area berdasarkan aspek teknis (coverage dan kapasitas) dan aspek ekonomi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada tipe area metro, dense urban dan urban yang sesuai dengan tekno ekonomi adalah dengan pita lebar carrier aggregation sebesar 15 MHz. Kemudian untuk tipe area sub urban yang sesuai yaitu 8 MHz. Sedangkan untuk rural belum masuk kriteria lebar pita mana pun, hal ini menjadikan pertimbangan bahwa area rural belum layak diterapkan carrier aggregation untuk lebar pita 8 MHz, 10 MHz, 15 MHz dan 20 MHz. This 4G LTE implementation answers the challenges of the increasing need for data services. In the process, there are two major challenges, namely the limited frequency bandwidth at 1800 MHz because they have to share with the existing 2G DCS 1800 MHz system, and Indonesia's varied demographic conditions. The model is built by combining operator aggregation and 4x4 MIMO types. For bandwidth variations of 8 MHz, 10 MHz, 15 MHz and 20 MHz with a combination of frequencies at 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz. By simulating the area in Jabodetabek, different bandwidth models will be produced in each region based on technical aspects coverage and capacity) and economic aspects. The results showed that the type of metro area, dense urban and urban areas that are in accordance with the techno economy is the aggregation width of 15 MHz. Then for the appropriate sub-urban area, which is 8 MHz. While for rural areas not yet included in any bandwidth criteria, this applies considering that rural areas are not yet suitable for carrier aggregation for 8 MHz, 10 MHz, 15 MHz and 20 MHz.
