Abstract

The use of aircraft in transportation is increasing, so aviation safety factors are very important. One way to improve airworthability is through regular aircraft maintenance. Furthermore, in carrying out maintenance there is a waste of time completion of aircraft maintenance has an effect on decreasing the level of fulfillment of the needs of aircraft used (serviceable) with a standard maintenance time of 90 hours. The purpose of this study is to reduce waste that occurs with value stream mapping (VSM) method, known to be the implementation of aircraft king ari 200 maintenance actual 120 hours. Based on observations and using pareto diagrams known significant areas occur in the engine and cowling with actual maintenance 28 hours, which is further a priority of improvement and improvement by analyzing using failure mode and effect analyze (FMEA) to 24 hours. With this method is able to increase the efficiency of time from 75% (90 hours / 120 hours) to 87.38% (90 hours / 103 hours). So in carrying out aircraft king air 200 maintenance needs to be done preparation needs tools, equipment, consumable materials and manual maintenance, as well as training and addition of personnel that have an effect on the decrease in maintenance time. Keywords : Airworthiness, Maintenance, Waste, Value stream mapping, Failure mode and effect analysis Penggunaan pesawat udara pada transportasi semakin meningkat, sehingga faktor keselamatan penerbangan sangatlah penting. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kelaikudaraan melalui perawatan pesawat secara rutin. Selanjutnya dalam melakukan perawatan adanya pemborosan kerja penyelesaian perawatan pesawat berpengaruh pada penurunan tingkat pemenuhan kebutuhan pesawat udara yang digunakan (serviceable) dengan standar waktu perawatan 90 jam. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengurangi pemborosan yang terjadi dengan metode value stream mapping (VSM), diketahui pelaksanaan perawatan pesawat King Air 200 aktualnya 120 jam. Berdasarkan observasi serta menggunakan diagram pareto diketahui area signifikan terjadi pada engine dan cowling dengan aktual perawatan 28 jam, yang selanjutnya menjadi prioritas perbaikan dan improvement dengan menganalisa menggunakan failure mode and effect analyze (FMEA) menjadi 24 jam. Dengan metode tersebut mampu meningkatkan efisiensi waktu dari 75% (90jam/120jam) menjadi 87,38% (90jam/103jam). Sehingga dalam melakukan perawatan pesawat King air 200 perlu dilakukan pesiapan kebutuhan tools, equipment, consumable material dan maintenance manual, serta pelatihan dan penambahan personil yang berpengaruh pada penurunan waktu perawatan.
