Abstract

Car body is an important part that must have optimal construction or security to provide safety for passengers. The development of car body technology has a lot of progress which includes aerodynamic shapes, elegant shapes, aesthetic elements and ergonomics. This car body is designed to follow the 2018 energy-efficient car contest (KMHE), with the urban concept model. Many conditions commonly occur in a car frame such as a collision or impact with a vehicle or with another car and with an object that causes deformation, damage to the car or vehicle, especially the body and frame (chassis). In this study has the aim to analyze the resistance of the design of the car's body structure to the collision with differences in speed of the car. With the advancement of collision modeling technology in the design of the car body can be done by using software. In this study modeling was done using Ansys explisit dynamic software. The types of modeling are total deformation, directional deformation and equivalent stress. On the types of collision: frontal impact, 50% frontal impact, side impact and rear impact. In total deformation modeling the higher the speed, the greater the total deformation obtained. Like the frontal impact with a speed of 8.33 m / s the total deformation is 0.03649 m while at a speed of 22.22 m / s the total deformation is 0.08106m. Body mobil merupakan bagian penting yang harus mempunyai kontruksi atau keamanan yang optimal guna memberikan keselamatan bagi penumpang. Perkembangan teknologi karoseri body mobil mengalami banyak kemajuan yang meliputi bentuk yang aerodinamis, bentuk yang elegan, unsur estetika dan ergonomi.body mobil ini di desain untuk mengikuti Kontes mobil hemat energi 2018 ( KMHE), dengan model urban concept. Banyak kondisi yang biasa terjadi pada rangka mobil seperti tabrakan atau tumbukan (impact) dengan kendaraan atau dengan mobil lain dan dengan suatu benda yang menyebabkan deformasi, kerusakan pada mobil atau kendaraan terutama bagian body dan rangka (chassis). Pada penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis ketahan desain structure body mobil tehadap benturan dengan perbedaan kecepatan pada laju mobil. Dengan kemajuan teknologi pemodelan tumbukan pada desain body mobil bisa di lakukan dengan menggunkan software. Pada penelitian ini pemodelan di lakukan dengan menggunkan software ansys explisit dynamic. Jenis pemodelan yang di lakukan adalah total deformation, directional deformation dan equivalent stress pada jenis tumbukan; frontal impact, 50% frontal impact, side impact dan rear impact. pada pemodelan total deformation semakin tinggi kecepatan, semakin besar pula total deformation yang di peroleh. Seperti pada frontal impact dengan kecepatan 8,33 m/s total deformationya sebesar 0,03649m sedangkan pada kecepatan 22,22 m/s total deformation sebesar 0,08106m.
