Abstract
Seiring dengan persaingan industri yang semakin ketat, semua perusahaan berusaha melakukan perbaikan secara terus menerus untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah dan mengurangi pemborosan sehingga akan berdampak positif pada kemampuan perusahaan untuk mempertahankan eksistensinya di masa yang akan datang. Salah satu permasalahan yang ditemukan pada industri pembuatan ban adalah masalah kualitas terjadinya produk cacat pada proses mixing yang didominasi oleh viskositas compound steel breaker diluar standar toleransi yang telah ditetapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor dominan penyebab terjadinya cacat, mengetahui korelasi yang ditimbulkan oleh faktor dominan tersebut terhadap potensi terjadinya cacat serta melakukan tindakan pencegahan dan skala prioritas perbaikan. Pada penelitian ini, analisis dan perbaikan masalah dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), dan Analisis Linier Berganda untuk menguji korelasi antara akar penyebab yang ditemukan dengan permasalahan utama penyebab cacat. Hasil analisis yang dilakukan berhasil menemukan tiga belas akar permasalahan dimana faktor variasi viskositas karet alam yang besar dan ketidaksesuaian penentuan desain proses memiliki nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) terbesar dan memiliki korelasi yang kuat terhadap terjadinya masalah utama penyebab cacat melalui serangkaian pengujian hipotesis. Selanjutnya, dilakukan aktifitas perbaikan berdasarkan recommended action pada FMEA. Hasil perbaikan yang telah dilakukan dapat efektif dalam meningkatkan indek kapabilitas proses viskositas compound steel breaker yang berdampak pada penurunan rasio produk cacat sebesar 34,5% dan mencapai target yang diharapkan.===In line with increasingly fierce industry competition, all companies are trying to make continuous improvements to increase added value and reduce waste so that it will have a positive impact on the company's ability to maintain its existence in the future. One of the problems found in the tire manufacturing industry is the quality problem of the occurrence of defective products in the mixing process which is dominated by the viscosity of the steel breaker compound outside the tolerance standard that has been set. This study aims to determine the dominant factors that cause defects, determine the correlation caused by these dominant factors to the potential for defects to occur and to take preventive actions and prioritize improvements. In this study, analysis and problem improvement were carried out using the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and Multiple Linear Analysis methods to test the correlation between the root causes found and the main problems causing the defects. The results of the analysis carried out succeeded in finding thirteen root causes where the large natural rubber viscosity variation factor and the discrepancy in determining the process design had the largest Risk Priority Number (RPN) value and had a strong correlation to the occurrence of the main problem causing defects through a series of hypothesis testing. Next, repair activities are carried out based on the recommended action on the FMEA. The results of the improvements that have been made can be effective in increasing the process capability index of the viscosity of the steel breaker compound which has an impact on decreasing the defective product ratio by 34.5% and achieving the expected target.
