Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of Profitability which is proxy by return on equity, Leverage which is proxy by debt to asset ratio, and Liquidity which is proxy by current ratio on Financial Distress which is proxied using Z-score. The object of the research is the sub-sector of property and real estate companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. This research was conducted using a sample 47 companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. Determination of the sample using a purposive sampling method with a criteria by researcher using a causal relationship design. The analysis of data use statistical analysis in the form of multiple linear regression test. The result of this study that profitability which is proxy by return on equity, and liquidity variables which is proxy by current ratio have significant effect and positive on financial distress. While the Leverage variable which is proxy by debt to asset ratio have significant effect and negative on financial distress. Keywords : Profitability, Leverage, Liquidity and Financial distress Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh Profitabilitas dengan menggunakan proksi Return on Equity, Leverage dengan menggunakan proksi Debt to Asset Ratio, dan Likuiditas dengan menggunakan proksi Current Ratio terhadap Financial Distress yang diproksi dengan Z-Score. Objek penelitian ini adalah perusahaan sub sektor property dan real estate yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2016-2018. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan sampel sebanyak 47 perusahaan terpilih yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Penentuan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan oleh peneliti menggunakan desain hubungan kausal. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik dalam bentuk uji regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa variabel profitabilitas yang di proksi dengan menggunakan Return On Equity, likuiditas yang diproksi dengan menggunakan Current Ratio berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap financial distress. Sedangkan variabel leverage yang diproksi dengan menggunakan Debt to Asset Ratio berpengaruh signifikan negatif terhadap financial distress. Kata Kunci : Profitabilitas, Leverage, Likuiditas dan Financial Distress
