Abstract

ABSTRAK Judul: Studi Eksperimental Sifat Mekanik Balok Laminasi Sengon Dengan Perkuatan Bambu Petung Sebagai Bahan Kontruksi, Nama :Pujo Sasmito, NIM: 41114310012, Dosen Pembimbing: Agyanata Tua Munthe, ST., MT., 2018. Jumlah pasir sebagai bahan baku beton untuk kontruksi jumlahnya didunia semakin berkurang sehingga diperlukan bahan alternatif seperti kayu, akan tetapi kayu berkualitas baik semakin berkurang akibat penebangan liar serta masa panen yang lama, walaupun ada harganya mahal. Di Indonesia banyak terdapat kayu akan tetapi memiliki kualitas rendah (seperti sengon) sehingga diperlunya teknologi agar kayu kualitas rendah dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan alternatif kayu kontruksi yaitu laminasi dengan mengkombinasi kayu kualitas tinggi dengan kayu kualitas rendah. Pada penelitian ini kayu yang digunakan adalah kayu sengon yang diberi perkuatan bambu dengan menggunakan metode laminasi menggunakan perekat urea formaldehyde UA 181, hardener HU 12 dan extender tepung terigu dengan perbandingan UF 181 : tepung : HU-12 adalah 150 : 25 : 0.5 dan dikempa dengan kempa dingin sebesar 2 MPa. Balok tersebut akan diuji sesuai dengan standart SNI 03-3958-1995 untuk kuat tekannya dan SNI 03-3959-1995 untuk kuat lenturnya. Kuat tekan tegak lurus serat rata – rata terbesar adalah 16.42 MPa yaitu balok laminasi dengan komposisi 5 cm bambu dan terendah adalah 4.13 MPa yaitu balok sengon tanpa laminasi. Kuat tekan sejajar serat rata – rata terbesar adalah 51.20 MPa yaitu balok laminasi dengan komposisi 5 cm bambu dan terendah adalah 22.76 MPa yaitu balok sengon tanpa laminasi. Kuat lentur terbesar rata – rata terbesar adalah 127.75 MPa yaitu balok laminasi dengan komposisi 5 cm bambu dan terendah adalah 25.10 MPa yaitu balok sengon tanpa laminasi. modulus elastisitas terbesar rata – rata terbesar adalah 13,397 MPa yaitu balok laminasi dengan komposisi 5 cm bambu dan terendah adalah 4,216 MPa yaitu balok sengon tanpa laminasi. The amount of sand as a concrete raw material for the construction it’s number is decreasing worldwide, so alternative materials are needed, such as wood, however good quality timber is reduced due to illegal logging and long harvest, although kind of lumbers are available but the price are sky rocketing. In Indonesia varieties of wood can be found in any places, unfortunately most of them has a low quality (such as sengon) in order to cope with the drawbacks, utilizing technology for low grade timber is inevitable one of it is trough lamination process by combining high quality wood with low quality wood. In this research the wood used is sengon, which is reinforced by bamboo using lamination method. Formaldehyde adhesives urea UA181, HU 12 hardener and wheat flour extender with a ratio of UF 181: flour: HU-12 was 150: 25: 0.5 and forged with cold forged 2 Mpa are applied in the process. The beam will be tested in accordance with the standard SNI 03-3958-1995 for its compressive strength and SNI 03-3959-1995 for its flexural strength. Strong compressive strength of the largest average fiber is 16.42 MPa is a laminated beam with a composition of 5 cm bamboo and the lowest is 4.13 MPa is a sengon beam without laminate. Strong compressive strength of the largest average fiber is 51.20 MPa that is laminated beam with composition of 5 cm bamboo and the lowest is 22.76 MPa is a sengon beam without lamination. The largest mean bending strength of 127.75 MPa is the laminated beam with a composition of 5 cm bamboo and the lowest is 25.10 MPa is a sengon beam without laminate. the largest mean modulus of elasticity is 13.397 MPa which is a laminated beam with a composition of 5 cm bamboo and the lowest is 4,216 MPa is a sengon beam without lamination.
