Abstract

In a time of development like this, the internet as a medium of communication is gradually getting rid of other communication media such as telephone and SMS (short message send). With social networking internet users are able to send short messages, make phone calls, send videos and pictures in a matter of seconds. Internet administrators or providers are required to provide a stable and fast internet network. Providers apply the 1 + 1 protection method to DWDM technology that is implemented on their backbone networks. Downtime in the Transport segment will have a crucial impact on other segments (Radio Access Network (RAN), Access). Researchers found that with this method there was still a lot of downtime. Quoted from the OTRS web of PT. Lintas Teknologi Indonesia in collaboration with PT. Telkom Indonesia in the Maintenance Support project specifically DWDM and OTN tickets, http://ctsserver.lt-indonesia.com/otrs/index.pl for 3 months found three main problems that have a lot of downtime namely (FO CUT, High Power Attenuation, Module Switch Fail). In some research literature it was found that the protection of the OTN that provides advantages over other devices in the Bakcbone segment, uses GMPLS / ASON to determine the closest route and the least traffic. And DWDM was found to be superior compared to Metro devices where packet loss is still found on the client side during peak hours and high traffic. Researchers used the SBR restoration method on the NOKIA 1830 PSS36 OTN to support the task of determining the nearest route in the event of a FOCUT, differences in the use of protocols in GMPLS / ASON pose a smaller risk in the Switch Fail Module problem. Researchers also added the NOKIA 1830 PSS32 WDM as a backbone to the Slipi-Jatinegara-Tangerang OTN link to overcome the High Power Attenuation. As a result, SBR restoration succeeded in moving services from the nominal route to the current route when there was a down on the nominal route with 11 seconds downtime. While the addition of DWDM succeeded in reducing errors in the FECC in the Slipi-Jatinegara-Tangerang segment. .Keywords: OTN, ASON, GMPLS, DWDM, NOKIA Di zaman yang berkembang seperti ini, internet sebagai media komunikasi lambat laun menyingkirkan media komunikasi lainnya seperti telepon maupun sms (short message send). Dengan Jejaring social pengguna internet sanggup mengirim pesan singkat, melakukan panggilan telepon, mengirimkan video dan gambar dalam hitungan beberapa detik. Penyelengga internet atau provider dituntut menyediakan jaringan internet yang stabil dan cepat. Provider menerapkan metode proteksi 1+1 pada teknologi DWDM yang diimplementasikan pada jaringan backbone mereka. Downtime pada segment Transport akan berdampak krusial pada segment yang lain (Radio Access Network (RAN), Access). Peneliti menemukan dengan metode ini masih banyak terjadi downtime. Dikutip dari web OTRS PT. Lintas Teknologi Indonesia yang bekerja sama dengan PT. Telkom Indonesia dalam proyek Maintenance Support khusus ticket DWDM dan OTN, http://ctsserver.lt-indonesia.com/otrs/index.pl selama 3 bulan ditemukan tiga masalah utama yang memiliki banyak downtime yaitu (FO CUT, High Power Attenuation , Modul Switch Fail). Dalam beberapa literatur penelitian ditemukan bahwa proteksi pada OTN yang memberikan keuntungan lebih daripada perangkat lain di segment backbone, menggunakan GMPLS / ASON untuk menentukan rute terdekat dan paling sedikit traffiknya. Dan DWDM ditemukan lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan perangkat Metro yang mana masih ditemukan packet loss di sisi client ketika jam sibuk dan high traffic Peneliti menggunakan metode restorasi SBR pada NOKIA 1830 PSS36 OTN untuk menunjang tugas penentuan rute terdekat apabila terjadi FOCUT, perbedaan penggunaan protokol pada GMPLS/ASON memberikan resiko lebih kecil dalam masalah Modul Switch Fail. Peneliti juga menambahkan NOKIA 1830 PSS32 WDM sebagai backbone pada link OTN Slipi-Jatinegara-Tangerang untuk mengatasi High Power Attenuation. Hasilnya restorasi SBR berhasil memindahkan service dari nominal route ke current route ketika terjadi down pada nominal route dengan downtime 11 detik. Sedangkan penambahan DWDM berhasail mengurangi error pada FECC pada segment Slipi-Jatinegara-Tangerang.. Kata kunci: OTN, ASON, GMPLS, DWDM, NOKIA
