Abstract

ABSTRAK Wahyu Pratomo, 2018. Studi Penelitian Material Ramah Lingkungan Abu Daun Bambu Apus Sebagai Substitusi Sebagian Semen Pada Beton Normal K-250. Skripsi. Jurusan Teknik Sipil Fakultas Teknik Universitas Mercu Buana Bekasi. Beton adalah suatu material komposit hasil campuran semen portland, agregat halus, agregat kasar dan air dengan atau tanpa bahan tambahan. Namun di dalam produksi semen portland pasti menghasilkan gas karbondioksida yang bisa mencemari lingkungan. Substitusi sebagian jumlah bahan semen dalam campuran beton dengan bahan yang ramah lingkungan bisa digunakan untuk mengurangi produksi gas karbondioksida di dalam industri semen portland. Untuk membuat beton ramah lingkungan bisa menggunakan bahan pozzolan alam. Pozzolan alam yang umum digunakan dalam campuran beton antara lain abu sekam padi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengamati karakteristik beton normal K-250 yang bahan campurannya menggunakan substitusi pozzolan alam abu daun bambu apus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan 60 benda uji. Benda uji berupa silinder beton dengan diameter 10 cm dan tinggi 20 cm dengan variasi substitusi abu daun bambu apus sebesar 0% (beton normal), 5%, 10%, 15% dan 20% yang diuji pada umur 7 hari, 14 hari, 21 hari dan 28 hari. Terjadi peningkatan nilai kuat tekan beton dengan variasi substitusi abu daun bambu apus 5%, 10%, 15% dan 20%, namun masih dibawah nilai kuat tekan beton normal. Nilai densitas beton dengan variasi substitusi abu daun apus bambu tidak jauh berbeda dengan nilai densitas beton normal. Nilai slump beton mengalami penurunan seiring dengan penambahan variasi substitusi abu daun bambu apus. Research Study of Environmentally Friendly Apus Bamboo Leaf Ash Substitution Of Cement On Normal Concrete K-250. Undergraduate Thesis. Civil Engineering Department of Engineering Faculty Mercu Buana University Bekasi. Concrete is a composite material of a mixture of portland cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water with or without additives. But in the production of portland cement must produce carbon dioxide gas that can pollute the environment. The partial substitution of the amount of cement in a concrete mix with environmentally friendly materials can be used to reduce the production of carbon dioxide gas in the portland cement industry. To make eco-friendly concrete can use natural pozzolan material. Natural pozzolan commonly used in concrete mixtures include rice husk ash. This study aims to observe the characteristics of normal concrete K-250 which mixture material using natural pozzolan substitution apus bamboo leaf ash. This research uses experimental method with 60 specimens. The test specimens were concrete cylinders with diameter 10 cm and height 20 cm with variation of apus bamboo leaf ash substitution of 0% (normal concrete), 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% tested at 7 days, 14 days, 21 days and 28 days. There was an increase of concrete compressive strength value with variation of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% apus bamboo leaf ash substitution, but still below the normal concrete compressive strength value. The value of concrete density with substitution variation of apus bamboo leaf ash is not much different from normal concrete density value. The value of concrete slump has decreased with the addition of substitution variation of apus bamboo leaf ash. Keywords: apus bamboo leaf ash, compressive strength, density, normal concrete, slump.
