Abstract
Youtube adalah sebuah situs website video sharing (berbagi video) popular dimana para pengguna dapat memuat, menonton, dan berbagi klip video secara gratis. Keunggulan yang dimiliki Youtube, saat ini banyak dimanfaatkan oleh berbagai kalangan tanpa terkecuali pemerintahan. Presiden Republik Indonesia (Joko Widodo) turut memanfaatkan media ini untuk membantu dalam melakukan komunikasi ke berbagai kalangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui resepsi generasi milenial terhadap Youtube channel presiden Joko Widodo, Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Deskriptif-Kualitatif. Dan Paradigma konstruktivisme dengan FGD sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Peneliti menggunakan teori studi analisis resepsi Stuart Hall. Khalayak ditempatkan pada tiga posisi, yaitu Hegemoni Dominan, Negosiasi, dan Oposisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kredibilitas komunikasi politik di media Youtube presiden Joko Widodo dimaknai secara beragam dari delapan informan, enam informan memaknai berdasarkan kode Dominan, satu informan memaknai berdasarkan kode Negosiasi dan satu informan memaknai berdasarkan kode Oposisi. Kata kunci: Youtube, Presiden Joko Widodo, Kredibilitas Komunikasi Politik Youtube is a popular video sharing website where users can load, watch and share video clips for free. The advantages of Youtube are currently being used by various groups without the exception of government. The President of the Republic of Indonesia (Joko Widodo) also took advantage of this media to assist in communicating to various groups. This research was conducted to find out the reception of the millennial generation on the presidential Youtube channel Joko Widodo, this study used a descriptive-qualitative approach. And the constructivism paradigm with FGD as a data collection technique. The researcher used the reception analysis theory of Stuart Hall. The audience is placed in three positions, namely Hegemonic Dominant, Negotiated, and Oppositional. The results showed that the credibility of political communication on President Joko Widodo's Youtube media was interpreted in a variety of ways from eight informants, six informants interpreting it based on Dominant code, one informant interpreting it based on the Negotiated code and one informant interpreting it based on the Oppositional code.
