Abstract

The population increase that demanding addition of space for settlement makes a vertical housing concept as a solution to occupy the residential needs. The main problems in high- rise building are high temperature at the day. Human body needs to surround by particular physical conditions that considered a comfortable, one of a comfortable physical conditions requirements is a temperature which is a thermal conditions within the space that does not interfere its body (Rilatupa, 2008). The problem of this research is how the thermal sensation in apartment gading nias residence (crysant tower). The purpose of this research is to get the general desciption of thermal comfort within the space of apartment gading nias residence (crysant tower). The tools used are the thermo-hygro meter, anemometer, and questionnaire. Measurements were made for six days time from 10:00 to 14:00. After that the measurements results processed with thermal estimator program to acquire PMV and PPD value. The results are the highest temperature in apartment gading nias residence (crysant tower) reached 32ºC (within the unit) and the lowest temperature reached 27ºC (within the corridor). The results from respondents, 6% are perceive cool within the apartment unit, 17% perceive neutral, 30% perceive warm within the apartment unit, 31% perceive hot, and 16% perceive very hot. Then the results of the overall measurement of respondents, on average that most respondents perceive warm-hot within their apartment. While the overall results of the measurements of thermal estimator program, on average temperature 29,7ºC, humidity average 69,59% and air speed average 0.2 m/s, PMV value 1.36 (+1 Slightly warm) and PPD 43,89%. Keyword: Apartment, Thermal Conditons, PMV, PPD Pertambahan penduduk yang menuntut adanya penambahan ruang untuk pemukiman menjadikan konsep hunian vertikal sebagai solusi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hunian bagi penduduk. Masalah utama kondisi ruang dalam bangunan tinggi adalah tingginya suhu udara pada siang hari. Manusia memerlukan kondisi fisik tertentu disekitarnya yang dianggap nyaman, salah satu persyaratan kondisi fisik yang nyaman adalah suhu, yaitu suatu kondisi termal udara didalam ruang yang tidak mengganggu tubuhnya (Rilatupa, 2008). Masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana sensasi termal ruang dalam pada bangunan apartemen gading nias residence (tower crysant). Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kenyamanan termal ruang dalam pada bangunan apartemen gading nias residence (tower crysant). Alat yang digunakan adalah termo-hygro meter, anemometer, kuisioner. Pengukuran dilakukan selama enam hari berturut-turut pada jam 10:00 hingga 14:00. Setelah itu hasil pengukuran diolah dengan menggunakan program termal estimator untuk memperoleh nilai PMV dan PPD. Hasilnya adalah suhu tertinggi yang ada di keseluruhan bangunan apartemen gading nias residence (tower crysant) mencapai 32ºC (dalam unit) dan terendah mencapai 27ºC (pada bagian koridor). Dari hasil pengukuran responden, 6% menyatakan bahwa mereka merasa sejuk dalam unit apartemen, 17% merasa nyaman, 30% merasa hangat dalam unit apartemen, 31% merasa panas, dan 16% merasa panas sekali. Maka hasil dari keseluruhan pengukuran responden, secara rata-rata bahwa sebagian besar responden merasakan hangat-panas dalam ruangan mereka. Sedangkan hasil keseluruhan pengukuran program termal estimator, rata-rata suhu 29,7ºC, kelembaban rata-rata 69,54% dan kecepatan angin 0.2 m/s, nilai PMV 1.36 (+1 agak hangat) dan PPD 43,89%.
