Abstract

Indonesia has a serious problem with trash, especially plastic waste. Plastic waste is so bad and dangerous for the environment, because plastic is very difficult to be decomposed by the soil even though it has been buried for a years. PT. TASPEN (Persero) is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) that has been established for 56 years and has carried out a Public Relations campaign 'plastic diet' aimed at the internal public company, namely employees. This is in line with TASPEN's goal of achieving Good Corporate Governance (GCG), which is the principles applied by the company to maximize company value, improve company performance and contribution, and maintain the company's long-term sustainability. The concept of management according to Scoot M. Cutlip Center & Allen H. Center in the book Effective Public Relations Ninth Edition, is the planning process starting from fact finding, problem planning, actuating and communicating, and evaluating (evaluating the program). This planning process is used to facilitate Public Relations in running a program. This research was conducted to determine the application or implementation of the Public Relations Campaign in the 'plastic diet' campaign organized by PT TASPEN (Persero). This study uses a post-positivism approach with the type of descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques with in-depth interviews with informants and documentation as secondary data. The success rate of this activity can be seen from the enthusiasm of the employees present. The results of this campaign are quite good. Employees began to reduce the use of plastic in their daily activities in the office environment. Keywords: Public Relations, Public Relations Campaigns, Public Awareness,Plastic Diet. Indonesia memiliki masalah yang serius dengan sampah, khususnya sampah yang berasal dari plastik. Sampah plastik begitu berdampak buruk dan berbahaya bagi lingkungan, karena plastik bersifat sulit sekali diuraikan oleh tanah meski sudah tertimbun bertahun-tahun. PT. TASPEN (Persero) adalah Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) yang telah berdiri selama 56 tahun telah melakukan kampanye Public Relations ‘diet plastik’ yang ditujukan untuk publik internal perusahaan yaitu pegawai. Hal ini sejalan dengan tujuan TASPEN untuk mencapai Good Corporate Governance (GCG), yaitu merupakan prinsip-prinsip yang diterapkan oleh perusahaan untuk memaksimalkan nilai perusahaan, meningkatkan kinerja dan kontribusi perusahaan, serta menjaga keberlanjutan perusahaan secara jangka panjang Konsep manajemen menurut Scoot M. Cutlip Center & Allen H. Center dalam buku Effective Public Relations Edisi Kesembilan,adalah proses perencanaan dimulai dari fact finding (mendefinisikan masalah), planning (merencanakan program), actuating and communicating (bertindak dan berkomunikasi), dan evaluating (mengevaluasi program). Proses perencanaan ini digunakan untuk mempermudah public relations dalam menjalankan suatu program.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui penerapan atau pelaksanaan Kampanye Public Relations dalam kegiatan kampanye ‘diet plastik’ yang diselenggarakan PT TASPEN (Persero) Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan post-positivisme dengan tipe penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara mendalam dengan narasumber dan dokumentasi sebagai data sekunder. Tingkat keberhasilan kegiatan ini dilihat dari seberapa besar antusiasme para pegawai yang hadir. Hasil dari kegiatan kampanye ini cukup baik. Pegawai mulai mengurangi penggunaan plastik di kegiataan sehari-hari dalam lingkungan kantor. Kata Kunci : Public Relations, Kampanye Public Relations, Kesadaran Khalayak,Diet Plastik.
