Abstract
DESIGN OF MULTIFUNCTIONAL CONTEMPORARY SITTING LIGHTS Written Project Report Study Programs Product Design Mercu Buana University Bekasi, 2018 By Gregorius Reza Setiawan 41913320013 ABSTRACT Lamps are devices that produce light. A lamp is an object that serves as a light. Humans need illumination to perform activities or activities, especially at night. The development of technology and design influences the existence of lights that have a very important role in terms of lighting and aesthetics. In this case the design of the lamp is very important in order to create an atmosphere in the room. The design style delivered will affect the aesthetics of the lamp. Contemporary styles began to develop around the early 1920s that was moved by a collection of architecture Bauhaus School of Design in Germany. Old style that is labeled contemporary will result in a fresh design and different. Contemporary also presents a combination of styles, such as contemporary modern, contemporary classics, contemporary rustic, and more. The shape of this lamp design uses contemporary style as the design theme. In the design, the author utilizes the natural color and texture of pine wood. The natural color and texture illustrates the design concept and refers to today's contemporary design style. Lampu adalah sebuah benda yang berfungsi sebagai penerang. Manusia membutuhkan penerangan untuk melakukan aktivitas atau kegiatannya, khususnya di malam hari. Berkembangnya teknologi dan desain mempengaruhi keberadaan lampu yang memiliki peran sangat penting dalam hal pencahayaan dan estetika. Dalam hal ini desain lampu sangatlah penting agar dapat menciptakan suasana dalam ruangan. Gaya desain yang disampaikan akan mempengaruhi estetika dari lampu tersebut. Gaya kontemporer mulai berkembang sekitar awal 1920-an yang di gerakkan oleh sekumpulan arsitektur Bauhaus School of Design di Jerman. Gaya lama yang diberi label kontemporer akan menghasilkan suatu desain yang lebih segar dan berbeda. Kontemporer juga menyajikan kombinasi gaya, seperti modern kotemporer, klasik kontemporer, rustic kontemporer, dan lainnya. Bentuk desain lampu duduk ini menggunakan gaya kontemporer sebagai tema perancangannya. Pada perancangannya, penulis memanfaatkan warna dan tekstur alami dari kayu pinus (pinewood). Warna dan tekstur alami tersebut menggambarkan konsep perancangan dan mengacu pada gaya desain kontemporer saat ini. Kata kunci : Lampu, Lampu duduk, desain kontemporer.
