Abstract

Various kinds of problems often make worry and threaten the security of homeowners when they are left traveling, such as who will turn on the lights at night, forget to turn on or turn off electronic equipment, even crime in the form of theft. This causes the need for a system that functions to provide information that occurs at home and can control electronic equipment in the house in real-time. Internet of Things (IoT) allows devices to communicate such as sending and receiving data. This study designed a home automation system consisting of Arduino Uno, Ethernet Shield, DHT11 sensors and PIR sensors that were integrated into Blynk. This system consists of three parts, namely monitoring the temperature and humidity of the room, controlling household appliances connected using a relay module, and PIR sensors that will send notifications when detecting human movements. All parts are connected together via an Arduino and Ethernet shield. On the user interface side, use the Android version Blynk with button layout and display that has been custom designed to facilitate monitoring and control of various things that have been connected. Through this Blynk application, the system is able to provide real-time information to users, so it can monitor the temperature and humidity conditions and detect if there is movement of people at home, especially when the house is empty. When a person's movement is detected, the PIR sensor will provide alert notifications sent to blynk and email. To turn on and turn off the lights and electronic equipment at home a virtual button is made on the Blynk application. With this system it is expected that there will be no more worries when we leave home. Keywords: Arduino Uno, Ethernet Shield, DHT 11, PIR sensor, Blynk, Internet of Things. Berbagai macam permasalahan sering membuat khawatir dan mengancam keamanan pemilik rumah saat ditinggal berpergian, seperti siapa yang akan menyalakan lampu menjelang malam hari, lupa menyalakan atau mematikan peralatan elekronik, bahkan sampai tindak kejahatan berupa pencurian. Hal ini menyebabkan diperlukannya sistem yang berfungsi memberikan informasi yang terjadi di rumah dan dapat mengontrol peralatan elektronik di dalam rumah secara real-time. Internet of Things (IoT) membuat perangkat dapat berkomunikasi seperti mengirim dan menerima data. Penelitian ini merancang sistem otomasi peralatan rumah yang terdiri dari Arduino Uno, Ethernet Shield, sensor DHT11 dan sensor PIR yang diintegrasikan ke Blynk. Sistem ini terdiri dari tiga bagian, yaitu monitoring suhu dan kelembaban ruangan, mengontrol peralatan rumah tangga yang dihubungkan menggunakan modul relay, dan PIR sensor yang akan mengirimkan notifikasi saat medeteksi gerakan manusia. Seluruh bagian tersebut terhubung menjadi satu melalui Arduino dan Ethernet shield. Pada sisi interface pengguna, menggunakan blynk versi android dengan layout tombol dan display yang telah didesain secara custom untuk memfasilitasi monitoring dan kontrol berbagai hal yang telah terhubung. Melalui aplikasi blynk ini, sistem mampu memberikan informasi secara realtime kepada pengguna, sehingga dapat memantau keadaan suhu dan kelembaban serta mendeteksi jika ada pergerakan orang di rumah, khususnya saat keadaan rumah sedang kosong. Ketika terdeteksi gerakan orang, sensor PIR akan memberikan notifikasi alert yang dikirim ke blynk dan email. Untuk menyalakan dan mematikan lampu dan peralatan elektronik di rumah dibuatkan sebuah tombol virtual pada aplikasi blynk. Dengan sistem ini diharapkan tidak ada lagi kekhawatiran saat kita pergi meninggalkan rumah. Kata kunci: Arduino Uno, Ethernet Shield, DHT 11, PIR sensor, Blynk, Internet of Things.
