Abstract

Youtube is a website for sharing videos or watching videos shared by various parties. On YouTube there are various kinds of video content, one of the video content that is quite popular right now is Gaming content. The account containing Gaming content is the Kimi Hime Youtube account. This made researchers interested in knowing and analyzing the appeal of Kimi Hime's YouTube content to the interests of subscribers of gaming YouTube. In this study, the impact of communication is related to the theory of Uses and Effects which explains how the media used has an effect on media users. In addition, the audience also received the impact after watching Kimi Hime's youtube video content in the form of attention and interest which is explained in AIDDA theory. This research uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory type. The method used is a survey by distributing questionnaires to 112 Broadcasting 2016 Mercu Buana University students. The results of the survey conducted a correlation coefficient value of 0.530. Where this value indicates that the relationship between the two research variables in the category is quite strong. The coefficient of determination yields a figure of 28.1%, and this indicates the contribution of the appeal of the Kimi Hime Account content to the subscriber's interest in YouTube Gaming, while the remaining 71.9% is caused by other factors not examined by researchers. Hypothesis Test Results, read f count value of 42,934 with a significant probability level of 0,000. Therefore the probability (0,000) is much smaller than sig 0.05 (in this study using the significance level α = 5%) which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, or there is a significant influence between the Attractiveness of the Kimi Hime Account Content Against Interests Subscriber Will YouTuber Gaming. Keywords: Social Media, Youtube, Audience, Kimi Hime. Youtube adalah sebuah website untuk berbagi video ataupun menonton video yang dibagikan oleh berbagai pihak. Di dalam youtube terdapat berbagai macam konten video, salah satu konten video yang cukup diminati saat ini adalah konten Gaming. Akun yang berisikan konten Gaming yaitu akun Youtube Kimi Hime. Hal itu membuat peneliti tertarik untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis daya tarik konten youtube Kimi Hime terhadap minat para subscriber akan youtuber gaming. Dalam penelitian ini, dampak komunikasi berkaitan dengan teori Uses and Effect yang menjelaskan tentang bagaimana media yang digunakan memiliki effek terhadap pengguna media. Selain itu khalayak juga menerima dampak yang ditimbulkan setelah menonton konten video youtube Kimi Hime berupa perhatian dan minat yang dijelaskan pada teori AIDDA. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan tipe eksplanatif. Metode yang digunakan yaitu survey dengan menyebarkan kuisioner pada 112 mahasiswa Broadcasting 2016 Universitas Mercu Buana. Hasil penelitian pada survey yang dilakukan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.530. Dimana nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa hubungan kedua variabel penelitian ada pada kategori cukup kuat. Koefisien determinasi menghasilkan angka sebesar 28.1%, dan ini menunjukkan adanya kontribusi daya tarik konten Akun Kimi Hime terhadap minat para subscriber akan Youtuber Gaming, sedangkan sisanya yaitu sebesar 71,9% disebabkan oleh faktor – faktor lain yang tidak diteliti oleh peneliti. Hasil Uji Hipotesis, terbaca nilai f hitung sebesar 42.934 dengan tingkat probabilitas signifikan 0,000. Oleh karena itu probabilitas (0,000) jauh lebih kecil dari sig 0,05 (dalam penelitian ini menggunakan taraf signifikasi α = 5%) yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, atau terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara Daya Tarik Konten Akun Kimi Hime Terhadap Minat Para Subscriber Akan Youtuber Gaming. Kata kunci: Media Sosial, Youtube, Audiens, Kimi Hime.
