Abstract

In the global market competition when companies are required to have a reliable machine and one of the benchmarks to determine the effectiveness of engine performance is to calculate OEE. PT. SGS is a company engaged in wood processing, in the production process of PT. SGS is inseparable from problems related to the effectiveness of the machine or equipment. The machine that often causes problems is the Hot Press machine where this machine has a high Intensity of Downtime which is 6.84% or 2,085 m / month far exceeding the company's downtime target of 240 m / month. OEE value of the Hot Press 1 Lc 1 machine at PT. SGS is 72.23% in the period August 2018 - July 2019. With the details of Availability Ratio having an average value of 92.21%, Performance Efficiency has an average value of 78.82%, and the Rate of Quality has an average average value of 99.39%. This value has not reached the world class target of 85% due to the low average value of Performance. The cause of the low value of Performance is the high value of Reduce Speed Losses or losses caused by reduced engine speed in the production process. The high value of Reduce Speed Losses is 87,845 minutes from Total Time Losses which is 118,674 which is known from the results of the analysis using the Pareto Chart and Fishbone Diagrams. Keywords: Downtime, Availability Ratio, Performance Efficiency, Rate of Quality, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Six Big Losses Dalam persaingan pasar global saat perusahaan dituntut untuk memiliki mesin yang andal dan salah satu tolak ukur untuk menentukan efektivitas kinerja mesin adalah dengan melakukan perhitungan OEE. PT. SGS adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang pengolahan kayu, Pada proses produksi PT. SGS tidak terlepas dari masalah yang berkaitan dengan efektivitas mesin atau peralatan. Mesin yang sering terjadi masalah adalah mesin Hot Press dimana mesin ini memiliki intensitas Downtime yang tinggi yaitu 6,84% atau 2.085 m/bulan jauh melebihi target downtime yang ditetapkan perusahaan yaitu 240 m/bulannya. Nilai OEE mesin Hot Press 1 Lc 1 di PT. SGS adalah sebesar 72,23% pada periode bulan Agustus 2018 – Juli 2019. Dengan perincian Availability Ratio memiliki rata-rata nilai sebesar 92,21%, Performance Efficiency memiliki rata-rata nilai sebesar 78,82%, dan Rate of Quality memiliki rata-rata nilai sebesar 99,39%. Nilai ini belum mencapai target kelas dunia yaitu 85% karena rendahnya nilai rata-rata Performance. Penyebab rendahnya nilai Performance ini adalah tingginya nilai dari Reduce Speed Losses atau kerugian yang disebabkan oleh berkurangnya kecepatan mesin dalam proses produksi. Tingginya nilai Reduce Speed Losses adalah sebesar 87.845 menit dari Total Time Losses yaitu sebesar 118.674 yang diketahui dari hasil analisa menggunakan Pareto Chart dan Fishbone Diagram.
