Abstract
In the development of the construction industry, waste is still the most common problem found in the construction process. Various methods in construction management have been developed to overcome the problem of waste, one of which is lean construction. The concept of lean construction will have a positive impact on linear types of construction, which there are repetitive construction operations and processes. Currently, Indonesia is working on one of the infrastructure megaprojects, Jakarta Bandung High Speed Railway, that has a typical and recurring type of structure so that it is deemed to meet the criteria in implementing the lean construction concept. However, in the implementation process there are still many problems that cause waste problems in this project. Therefore, research is needed on the barriers to the implementation of lean construction in the Jakarta Bandung High Speed Railway project to then find a solution to overcome these barriers so that it can be known the potential implementation of lean construction as a whole in the Jakarta Bandung High Speed Railway project. In this study, the research method used is to combine quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative method is done by distributing questionnaires to 32 respondents who are employees at PT Wijaya Karya (Persero), Tbk. as the contractor. The analysis starts with a literature study and validation to the expert and then the questionnaire is distributed. Questionnaire data analysis was carried out by statistical methods through validity, reliability, and descriptive statistical analysis. While the qualitative method is carried out by conducting an interview with the expert on the results of the questionnaire data analysis to obtain answers from this study. The results showed that there were 14 barriers to the implementation of lean construction in the Jakarta Bandung High Speed Railway project which had a high mean value, 23 solutions that can still be done to overcome the barriers in implementing it so that lean construction has the potential to be applied to the Jakarta Bandung High Speed Railway project in a formal and comprehensive manner even though ideally lean construction is implemented at the beginning of planning and has been supported by company management in the form of policy expenditures to implement lean construction as a whole in the Jakarta Bandung High Speed Railway project. Keywords : Lean Construction, Barriers, Jakarta Bandung High Speed Railway Dalam perkembangan industri konstruksi, pemborosan (waste) masih menjadi permasalahan yang paling banyak ditemukan dalam proses konstruksi. Berbagai metode dalam manajemen konstruksi telah banyak dikembangkan untuk mengatasi masalah waste, salah satunya adalah lean construction. Konsep lean construction akan memberikan dampak positif pada jenis konstruksi yang linier, dimana terdapat operasi dan proses konstruksi yang berulang. Saat ini, Indonesia sedang mengerjakan salah satu megaproyek infrastruktur Jakarta Bandung High Speed Railway (Kereta Cepat Jakarta Bandung) yang memiliki tipe stuktur tipikal dan berulang sehingga dianggap memenuhi kriteria dalam penerapan konsep lean construction. Namun, dalam proses pelaksanaannya masih terdapat banyak permasalahan yang menyebabkan timbulnya masalah waste pada proyek ini. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya penelitian terhadap hambatan-hambatan penerapan lean construction pada proyek Jakarta Bandung High Speed Railway untuk kemudian didapatkan solusi untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut sehingga dapat diketahui potensi penerapan lean construction secara resmi dan menyeluruh pada proyek Jakarta Bandung High Speed Railway. Dalam penelitian ini, metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan menggabungkan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Metode kuantitatif dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 32 responden yang merupakan karyawan di PT Wijaya Karya (Persero), Tbk. selaku kontraktor pelaksana. Analisis dimulai dengan studi literatur dan validasi kepada pakar untuk kemudian dilakukan penyebaran kuesioner. Analisis data kuesioner dilakukan dengan metode statistik melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, dan analisis statistik deskriptif. Sedangkan metode kualitatif dilakukan dengan melakukan proses wawancara kepada pakar terhadap hasil analisa data kuesioner untuk mendapatkan jawaban dari penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 14 hambatan penerapan lean construction pada proyek Jakarta Bandung High Speed Railway yang memiliki nilai mean tinggi, 23 solusi yang saat ini masih dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi hambatan penerapannya sehingga lean construction memiliki potensi untuk dapat diterapkan secara resmi dan menyeluruh pada proyek Jakarta Bandung High Speed Railway meskipun idealnya lean construction diterapkan sejak awal perencanaan dan telah didukung oleh manajemen perusaahan berupa pengeluaran kebijakan resmi untuk menerapkan lean construction secara menyeluruh pada proyek Jakarta Bandung High Speed Railway.
