Abstract

In line with the unstable market conditions in Indonesia, especially for industries that produce packaging, it needs to be well prepared to make the company survive. As a case study conducted in one of the plastic packaging industries located in Tangerang, Indonesia by applying Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) supported by other tools such as Pareto diagrams, Cause diagrams and Effect Diagrams (CED) and six big losses to increase the value of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Before the improvement, the OEE value was 26.43%. Applying FMEA is one of the tools used to select priority problem solving that occurs in the production process so that it can precisely determine the priority of what actions should be taken to improve, to accelerate the process. By applying some of the methods above, the OEE value increased by 52.44%, an increase from 26.43% to 78.87%. Finally, the research conducted results are very positive for the company because there is a significant increase in productivity, to maintain and make it even more useful, further discussion is needed and it is strongly recommended for subsequent researchers to combine it with other methods. Sejalan dengan kondisi pasar yang tidak stabil di Indonesia terutama untuk industri yang memproduksi kemasan perlu dipersiapkan dengan baik untuk membuat perusahaan bisa bertahan. Seperti studi kasus yang dilakukan di salah satu industri kemasan plastik yang terletak di Tangerang, Indonesia dengan menerapkan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) yang didukung oleh tools lain seperti diagram Pareto, diagram Cause and Effect Diagram(CED) dan six big losses dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan nilai Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Sebelum perbaikan, nilai OEE adalah 26,43%. Menerapakan FMEA adalah salah satu alat yang dipergunakan untuk memilih prioritas penyelesaian masalah yang terjadi pada proses produksi, sehingga dapat dengan tepat penentuan prioritas tindakan apa yang harus diambil untuk perbaikan, sehingga dapat mempercepat proses. Dengan menerapkan beberapa metode di atas, nilai OEE mengalami peningkatan sebesar sebesar 52,44% yaitu meningkat dari 26,43% menjadi 78,87%. Akhirnya, penelitian yang dilakukan hasilnya adalah sangat positive bagi perusahaan karena ada peningktatan produktivitas yang significant , untuk mempertahankan dan membuatnya lebih bermanfaat lagi , maka diskusi lebih lanjut diperlukan dan sangat disarankan bagi peneliti berikutnya untuk menggabungkannya dengan metode lain.
