Abstract
Road is a land transportation infrastructure that plays a very important role in the transportation sector and supports the people's economic growth rate. Good road conditions will make a good transportation system as well as provide safety and comfort for road users themselves. In the construction project of the Medan-Binjai Freeway in this final project discusses the calculation of the thickness of the rigid pavement layer and the need for reinforcement. The Medan-Binjai Highway construction project with an effective length of 16.8 km. This pavement thickness calculation uses the Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials 1993 (AASHTO) formula modification method and the rigid pavement calculation uses the Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials 1993 (AASHTO) method. The results of the calculation of the thickness of the pavement layer obtained are 27cm, and the results of the calculation of the need for reinforcement are 387701 kg, the diameter of reinforcement used in STA 2 + 100- STA 4 + 100 is 32 cm, 13 cm and 12 cm. Keywords : Pavement thickness modification of the 1993 AASHTO formula, and calculation of reinforcement requirements of the 1993 AASHTO formula. Jalan merupakan prasarana transportasi darat yang memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam sektor perhubungan dan menunjang laju pertumbuhan ekonomi rakyat. Kondisi jalan yang baik akan membuat sistem transportasi yang baik juga, serta memberi keamanan dan kenyamanan bagi pengguna jalan itu sendiri. Pada proyek pembangunan Jalan Bebas Hambatan Medan-Binjai pada Tugas Akhir ini membahas perhitungan tebal lapis perkerasan kaku dan kebutuhan tulangan. Proyek pembangunan Jalan Bebas Hambatan Medan-Binjai dengan panjang efektif 16,8 km. Perhitungan tebal lapis perkerasan ini menggunakan Metode Modifikasi Rumus Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials 1993 ( AASHTO ) dan perhitungan perkerasan kaku menggunakan Metode Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials 1993 ( AASHTO ). Hasil perhitungan tebal lapis perkerasan yang didapat yaitu sebesar 27cm , dan hasil perhitungan kebutuhan tulangan diperoleh sebesar 387701 kg , diameter tulangan yang dipakai pada STA 2 + 100- STA 4 + 100 sebesar 32 cm, 13 cm dan 12 cm .
